Kurai was rummaging amongst the tropical foliage that surrounded the bubbling water of Isel Falls. Finding the majority of the wildlife around him similar to that of the rainforests in his own world, he was looking for something in particular. In the days of the Clash, Kurai had used special mind-altering herbs and berries to manipulate many into joining his numbers. Now, if he could find them, they would serve another purpose, one that he and his new ally Seema needed for their plan to work. Seirei'll never see what's coming. Nor while his mate hehe ... he thought gleefully.

Taking a wander through the tropical region of Tialka, Hiruko made his way through the thick vegetation towards the gushing waterfall that he could faintly hear in the distance. He had decided to visit Kiryu who had been very secluded in his cave as of recent however, another figure was rustling through the trees up ahead. Quietly stalking the individual, as he came close enough, he saw a mass of dark fur. It was Kai.
"Kai?" Hiruko said surprised to see him here. "I see you have found Isel Falls. But what brings you here?" He was watching him suspiciously as Kai's skulking through the jungle seemed odd.

Kurai had been foraging intensely through the undergrowth when he heard a familiar voice call out his name, well, his alias. Putting on a look of pleasant surprise, he lifted his head so it poked out above the foliage, and his eyes met Hiruko, the tiger he'd met on the beach that first day.
"Oh, hello Hiruko," he said cheerfully. "I was just looking for some herbs to help ease the pain of my leg, you see. It's almost healed now, but it twinges during the night. I've been exploring this part of Tialka for a couple of days and noticed the abundance of natural diversity, so I hoped I might find something."
An idea struck Kurai at that moment which would make his search easier. "There's this one that I was looking for, perhaps you know it? It's a small weed with blue flowers and clover-like leaves? Where I came from, we used it as a pain-killer." Kurai wasn't making it up, the weed was effective in removing pain, but in small doses. A large enough clump boiled down could be enough to temporarily paralyse someone, though this effect was little known, as no one had ever needed to use so much before.

Hiruko thought for a moment. He hadn't seen a plant like that before. But then that was justified by the fact that he hadn't explored much of the rainforest's vast vegetation.
"I can't say that I have ever seen such a plant, Kai," Hiruko told him. "However, if we take a browse, I am sure we will find it."
They searched through the shrubs and low trees but had little success. Hiruko wasn't even sure that the same plant might exist on Tialka. "Do you expect to find the plant here?" Hiruko asked curiously. "Our worlds could be vastly different and therefore produce completely different plants. If you're looking for a pain-killer, I can direct you to some common herbs that I use to relieve pain."

Seema was bathing in the fresh water at the bottom of the Isel Falls when she heard rummaging and voices in the foliage around her. Feeling somehow embarassed at being caught outside without her scarf (for while clothing didn't really concern Seema, without her scarf she felt really quite exposed), she looked around tetchily, not speaking as she didn't much fancy being interrupted. Her bag and scarf were on the banks about fifty yards away, and she considered moving to get them. There seemed no immediate risk, but in such a remote location there was no knowing who the rustling might be - after all, she had never seen anyone in this area before. She moved towards the shore slowly, hoping to make as little noise as possible.

Kiryu had spent the last month travelling the land, attempting to find a way back from where he had came. Giving up for a time he had spent the last few days resting from his journey. He lazily opened his eyes, hearing an unusual splashing from the waterfall below. Peering around the cavern, he noticed his torches had gone out and he would need more firewood, however he had more pressing matters to attend to.
Kiryu skulked towards the entrance of his cave, he had been wary of the others since his revelation and didn't want to be disturbed. He looked out but could not see much over the flowing water. "Who dares enter my territory?" he bellowed.

Seema hauled herself out of the water silently, unsure whose the voice from above was. Quickly shaking off and tying her scarf around her neck, she slipped into the foliage behind her, hoping to get away unnoticed. Stupidly, though, she didn't notice the branch behind her and fell almost as soon as she entered the undergrowth. Looking up, she found herself at Hiruko's feet. "Oh... hi Hiruko" she said nervously, scrambling to her feet. Hiruko was still suspicious of her, to say the least, and he was the last face she wanted to see right now.

Hearing a rustling near him, Hiruko suddenly heard Kiryu's fierce voice echoing from his cave. But it wasn't him who was stalking nearby. Hiruko felt as if he was being watched by clever eyes and sure enough, Seema came to a fall near his feet. As she briskly got to her feet and adjusted her scarf, flustered by her sudden exposure, Hiruko glared at her. He still couldn't fully trust her. However, he really felt that she deserved a second chance despite her untidy past and relaxed a little. Her actions so far had been good and she would be dealing with the consequences if she made a wrong move. "Hello, Seema." He glanced at Kai and wondered if he knew what was going on. "Seema, this is Kai, one of our newest arrivals. Kai, this is Seema, sister to Tersias Tara - the white fox you met a few days ago." He was unsure if they had met so introducing them seemed like the courteous response he could give. <<OOC - By the way, I know Seema and Kurai have met, but Hiruko doesn't so that's why I've made him introduce them Just to be clear.>>

((OOC - Okie dokie. These bipolar posts of Kurai's are giving me a headache xD))
Kurai was not liking the look of suspicion on Hiruko's face. Why did he insist on getting in his way all the time? All these questions? Always the ever so helpful Hiruko, aren't you kitty? Well, some creatures can be too helpful, he thought bitterly. Kurai had observed that since his arrival, the tiger spoke with an air of confident knowledge. He was clearly the one with the voice in this world, and he wasn't afraid to speak his concerns. Kurai was growing tired of playing the double act whenever he came into contact with the Tialkans, but he knew it was just a matter of time, one last push, until he could get the ball rolling.
He sighed, with a disappointed look on his face. "That's a shame. I must have mixed up the plants in my home land with these. They look so familiar..." Hiruko's offer of showing him some herbs caught Kurai's attention. A single herb could pack a punch, but a concoction was ever more deadly. "Thank you, that'll be far easier," he said with a smile. "Perhaps you have some samples at home you could show me? Would save me having to limp through the wilderness," he chuckled warmly. Where there are dens, there are animals. Maybe if they all live close to one another as a tribe, I could seek out my brother...
All of a sudden a booming shout from upstream echoed out, reverberating through the trees. "Besides," Kurai lowered his voice to a whisper. "Doesn't sound like I'm very welcome in these parts. Do you know the owner of that voice?" Whoever it was, he sounded very territorial. Kurai hoped he wouldn't get in the way in the future. It would be an awful nuisance to clear up afterwards.
Just as the two of them had got over the first surprise, another - quite literally - landed at their feet. It was Seema. Now came the awkward part. Would Seema realise his alias, or would she ruin everything? Kurai tried to remain polite and not shocked to ee her. He laughed out loud at the sight of her on the ground, though not cruelly as he would have done if he were alone. "Pleased .. haha ... pleased to meet you, Seema."

Kiryu left the den, leading upwards he began climbing the waterfall hoping the higher ground would allow him to see the intruders. The mossy cliff face was slippery and he had to keep focused to avoid falling, he propelled himself upwards scaling a large portion of the waterfall, he was getting better at this.
Hearing a voice that he didn't recognize, he spurred himself onwards, a small nervous laugh escaped his lips. Surely no-one would try and risk their lives for someone who would only come back, Kiryu would never have a chance to join the others he had knew beyond death, the thought making him think of home, of family. He shook his head briskly there was no time for that now, reaching the top of the cliff face he stared out of his home above the falls, looking for the intruders.

Seema had by now get herself back to her feet, although her face was about the colour of a ripe tomato. Straightening her scarf in a jerk, she laughed nervously "Hi there Kai" she smiled, putting a hand out for him to shake. "Nice to meet you, too. I have a nephew called Kai, perhaps you've seen him around. Nice kid." She looked at Hiruko "I don't know whose voice that is, but I don't much like the sound of it. What's the plan?" she asked, trying to change the subject.

"Oh that's just Kiryu, he must be on his way here. This is his territory after all." Worried that he had made Kiryu seem vicious, he explained further. "But don't worry, he won't hurt anyone. He's just cautious, that's all."
Kiryu's presence was coming closer and closer and it wasn't long before he burst through the vegetation and came to an abrupt halt in front of them. "Hi Kiryu, we've been expecting you," Hiruko greeted him. "I was just suggesting some pain-killing herbs for Kai seen as he is new to our world."

Kiryu looked over to Hiruko and the two new arrivals, on the cliff edge, he had noticed what had looked like one of the Torakan brothers, Tersias and Serei. Teeth bared he looked at the individuals before noticing that he was wrong with his assumptions, a large black wolf and someone he had almost confirmed as Tersias.
Yet she was older, "what a lovely scarf your wearing" Kiryu remarked, smirking before turning his attention towards Hiruko "I'm not one for herbs, some of the berries round here will kill ya," he smiled "but luckily they're out of the reach of most and I'm not showing anyone where they are!" he stated defiantly, "not everything in Isel Falls is as picturesque as you'd imagine it."
Kiryu looked over at the wolf again, "he doesn't look like he needs much healing, more along the lines of something to eat" Kiryu paused, "theres some stew in my cavern, it's still warm and before you worry, I haven't put the berries in it"

Seema was unsure how to react to Kiryu's comment and demeanor. She was not used to being spoken to like this - especially by someone Hiruko regarded as one of the "good guys". Indeed, even Koatia and Kurai didn't patronise her like that - when they could help it. But for now, Seema had to button her lip and play nice; she couldn't make Hiruko suspicious of her behaviour. "I'm Seema" she said, a little stiffly, but not impolitely. "Good to meet you." She didn't bother faking a smile - Hiruko knew her well enough not to buy that.

Hiruko was surprised by Kiryu's knowledge of the flora around the area already. He must have done a lot of exploring. Then again, with him going through such a difficult time alone, what else was there for him to do?
Kiryu had a gruff nature which was evident in the way he spoke to the rest of them but Hiruko knew him well enough that he was a kind soul who was willing to help.
Seema greeted him in her usual way, he was used to her stern act now. "Thanks for the offer Kiryu," Hiruko said smiling at him. "But we need to help Kai for the time being."

"Hmfff" Kiryu retorted, a little put off after having his offer turned down. Diverting his attention again, turning to Seema "a pleasure I'm sure" he bowed slightly, "Do you have any family? Theres another here who resembles you quite closely, boy she doesn't like me" he laughed a little. "Apologise my ignorance, I'm a loner by Tialkan standards, nothing like Hiruko here." He said inclining his head to the Torakan.
Kiryu looked over at Kai, he certainly was a quiet one. "What herbs were you looking for, I know Isel Falls better than anyone" he stated proudly. Kiryu was a little put off by Kai's quiet nature, Seema seemed friendly enough, not friendly in Hiruko standards but still, why were they in Isel Falls... Kiryu pondered for a moment, deciding he really didn't like strangers in his territory.

"That would have been my sister, Tersias" said Seema with a little chuckle "She can be very... I suppose the word I would use would be passionate. Don't worry, I'm sure she'll warm to you" smiled Seema "She just gets a little overexcitable... I suppose that's something we're both guilty of from time to time" she said ruefully blushing a little. Seema looked at Kurai curiously, "What herbs were you looking for, Kai?" she asked sweetly. She wasn't sure what he was up to, but was pretty sure it would have a bearing on the events to unfold in the family in the coming days and weeks.

Kurai had let Kiryu speak to the others for a few minutes, just so he could understand how the fox's mind worked. As he had expected, this Kiryu did not seem too pleased to see this many new faces around his area of the falls. He almost smiled at his sarcastic comments and asides. A little dry humour never hurt anyone.
On the one hand, Kurai almost considered going with him, but underneath the blunt and cocky facade, he could sense a lonely longing, and that would not do. Seema had weakness but she could battle through it, with this other fox he could not tell. On the other hand, however, there was Hiruko's offer, though Kurai doubted whether he could help him find what he needed; the tiger did not seem to know the plant of which he spoke.
Suddenly, an idea struck. It's going to involve a lot more pain and hassle, but it'll be worth it. It'll allow me to test them, as well as get a little closer.
"Well, Seema and ... Kiryu, is it? As I was telling Hiruko earlier before we all bumped into each other." He gave out a hearty chuckle at the pun. "I was looking for this plant, a blue-flowered weed. My leg muscle was badly torn when I arrived here, and even though it's healing, the pain still isn't going away as fast as I would like. I was hoping to find it here in this part of Tialka, but ..." he turned around on the spot, his eyes squinting as he pretended to be occupied surveying the area around them. What he was really looking for at that moment stood out.
A bunch of tree roots raised a few inches above the ground, right by a large pile of rocks on the edge of a steep slope. "Wait! I think ... could it be?" Without furter explaination, Kurai dashed off in that direction, as if he had seen the weed. He hadn't, but soon enough, he gave the impression of a struggle over the rocks as he subtly slipped his bad leg in between the roots. The speed at which he was running caused his body to lurch up in the air, and he landed heavily on the rocks. The pain was excruciating, but like he thought, worth it.
