A small arctic fox emerged from the shadows.

Mira almost laughed when the unknown Torakan puffed out his chest - he looked so stupid. Keeping a straight face, she managed to say, "And who are you? I'm afraid I don't know your name." In the corner of her eye, she could see Hiruko's expression. But why did he seem so angry?

She watched, a little scared. She was young, and didn't understand these things.

Kiba carefully watched the new stranger. He hadn't known Hiruko for a long time, but he hardly seemed the type to get mad over something small. So this must be important. The black cloth that secured the sheath to his back drifted in the wind, still attached to the pommel. "Is he causing any problems Hiruko?" He asked again, thinking that he would have to speak louder from now on.

"He's not causing them," Hiruko said, still focused on glaring at Hayashi who had a sudden interest in Mira. "More like he IS the problem." Hayashi chuckled to himself. "You appear to have a big clan now Hiruko. I see why you have suddenly become so assertive with me. You have friends to back you up. Well, I'm sure I can take you all on single-handed." "Don't start, Hayashi," Hiruko said. "The biggest thing you have is your ego. You already know my battling skills overpower yours."

She looked scared, she backed away a little, preparing to run if she had to - combat? She had been told this place was safe, combat was exactly what she had run from.

"You haven't even seen what I can do either. Now if you are a problem as Hiruko states you are. I will be forced to remove you from this planet. Forcefully if necissary." His cold gray eyes stared at The new intruder. "I haven't caught your name yet, mine is Kiba Kurokage."

"My name is Mira," she said to Hayashi. "Please, let us have the pleasure of sharing your name." Subtly, she moved over to the young fox, who seemed scared.

Kiba also noticed the small fox. "Don't worry little one. This is a safe place, but for every good person that comes, there is also one who wants to cause problems. Now, Mira, I suggest that you take this kit away before anything happens."

"I won't hurt you," she assured the fox kit. She turned to Kiba. "I will not leave Hiruko, as Founders, we face things together. I shall not leave, or fight, unless I absolutely must." She turned back to face the two Torakans.

She cowered and nodded a little. Her black eyes were wide with fear. "I don't know where she went" she whispered to herself "She was right behind me, but I can't find her".

"Is that so?" Hayashi laughed. He seemed to enjoy the disturbance he was making amongst the three of them. "Leave Hayashi," Hiruko said firmly. "Kiba means it. And so do I." Hayashi eyed Kiba for a while and then laughed once more. "He has to use a sword to fight. How pathetic." "Everyone has their own way of battling," Hiruko said. "How dare you laugh at other people's fighting techniques in such a cold manner. Besides, if I remember rightly, your battling techniques are flawed. It is true, you are skilled in your hand to hand combat. Father taught us well. But you do not have the knowledge to applicate it well." Hayashi frowned for a moment but perked up moments later. "That was the past," he said, a little quieter now. "But that was a few years back before I knew how to do this-". A flash of deep green aimed for Hiruko. Hiruko jumped and dodged it, missing it by barely a few millimetres. This had come as a surprise. How had Hayashi come to learn magic? Hiruko had only gained his powers by becoming a god and he couldn't imagine Hayashi doing any good deeds to become one either. It takes decades for a mere mortal to learn magic like Hayashi had used his and it had only been a few years...

"I don't have to use it, and in preferance I wouldn't use it. But my sword is special. It allows me to attack without death. The way the blade is made and special abilities imbued in it are very different then you are used to." He looked back over his shoulder to the kit. "I will have to teleport you away, to a lake, for your own protection. Is that ok with you?"

Her eyes widened "I have to find Seema" she whimpered "You have to help me find her, please, my dad'll kill me"

"We'll find her," Mira promised, not taking her eyes off the Torakans. When the unknown struck at Hiruko, that was her last straw gone. "Okay!" she said loudly. "Stop it right now!" Her eyes, normally so calm, seemed to bubble with anger and annoyance.

"But she was right here!" she whined, "And I don't want to be on my own", she was really scared. She curled up in a tiny little ball, hoping Seema would find her. She fell silent.

"Thank you, Kiba," Hiruko whispered to Kiba. "That would be the best desicion. Things may get ugly. Mira, perhaps it would be best if you do the same." He didn't want to think what would happen if she became badly injured. "I think Mira should stay here," Hayashi said flirtingly. "Then she may see who the best Torakan wins." He moved in closer to her and held her chin firmly with her paw. "Such a pretty little face," he smirked. "It would be shameful to choose Hiruko over me. What do you say? Would you like to become my lady?" Hayashi said leaning his face closer to hers. Hiruko stepped forward. "BACK OFF!" Hiruko shouted. He blushed slightly. He didn't want to feel as if he was fighting OVER Mira, more that he was fighting FOR her. "She should make her own desicion. And besides, who said that she'd want to choose either of us. Or anyone for that matter?" Hiruko felt a great sense of sadness. He couldn't explain his emotions that were dominating his mind and making him act as wildly as he was. He felt like a territorial beast.
