Mira nodded. "It must have been Kiba's exhaustion that weakened Koatia's chains, otherwise, they may have held a little longer - or at least long enough for us to be able to detain him again." She shook her head, worried. "But what now? He's on the loose, what can we do?" She shot a glance at Hiruko before walking forward to the other wolf, Kiba. Closing her ice blue eyes, she summoned some water, and a small spring started to trickle down from nearby. The running water came into obstacle with Kiba's muzzle, cold and fresh.

"I don't know," Hiruko muttered thoughtfully. "There isn't much we CAN do until we find him...and he'd be long gone by now..." He closed his eyes, concentrating with all his might as to what he should do next. After Mira had lightly splashed Kiba with a tiny bit of cool water, Hiruko gently lifted him into his arms and turned to Mira. "Let's get him back to the den," he said quickly and ran quickly yet gently so as not to shake Kiba too hardly. Once they were back at the den, Hiruko placed Kiba on a soft bed of leaves and flower petals. He stared sympathetically at the wolf and said to Mira, "He needs food. It will bring his strength back. Would you mind waiting here and making sure he's okay whilst I go and get something to make him stronger? I know just the thing. You are good with looking after others and if he wakes up, I'm sure it will be better if you are by his side, comforting him."

Mira followed him as quick as possible. "I don't mind," she replied. "Just make sure you hurry. I don't want Koatia finding you out there, alone." She shivered, mentally. Who knew what Koatia could do, even injured.

Hiruko nodded and sped off into the forest and towards the grassy plains. There were a few rabbits sniffling about throughout the grass searching for clovers. Hiruko crept down slow and moved in close enough until he could leap on one. He leapt and caught one in his jaws by the scruff of its neck. The rabbit squealed helplessly and finally fell limp. Carrying the rabbit in one paw, Hiruko then sped off back to the forest in search of some other things. He collected some herbs and wild vegetables and also some small, orange berries. "These berries will help Kiba to recover in no time at all," Hiruko thought to himself. Afterward, Hiruko ran straight back to the den once more. "I retrieved all the ingredients," he said whilst grabbing a large pot from the wooden cupboards. He placed it on a stove and lit it with two flints. The flames crackled quietly and Hiruko began preparing the food. He cut up the meat and finally sliced the herbs and wild vegetables before pouring in some water. The stew was frothing slightly as Hiruko stirred and turned to face Mira and Kiba. Kiba was breathing gently whilst Mira was sitting close by watching his every move. As the stew began to bubble, Hiruko added the orange berries then finally poured the mixture into three bowls. "Here," Hiruko said, handing Mira a bowl. "I think we could all do with some food." He placed the other bowl on the side next to Kiba. "He can have his when he wakes up." Hiruko grabbed his own bowl and began slurping through it in big mouthfuls. When he finally finished, he placed his bowl on his lap and sighed deeply. This had been the most chaotic day in a few years now.

Mira nodded a thanks when Hiruko handed her a bowl. She watched him eat some of his own food, and rolled her eyes. Males could be so messy, she thought. She tilted her head down, and ate her own food silently and with dignity. When she, too, had finished, she licked her lips to remove any random pieces that may have stuck there, before effortlessly summoning water to wash out her bowl, but before she dispelled it, she drank until most of it was gone. She looked up at Hiruko.
"Any plans for Koatia?" she asked. "Or are you going to sit there and let him get stronger?"

Kiba woke in a large tree. He moved but it pained him slightly to do so. He looked around and his katana was laid next to him. The leopard from before and Hiruko sitting nearby. "It seems like they trust me. I will have to do the same." He whispered to himself. He then smelled the bowl of food and he picked it up. He ate it ravenously and turned towards them. "Thank you for the meal and the bed. What happened to the wolf?"

Hiruko looked up. Her comment was quite unexpected. "There is no way any of us can face him alone," Hiruko said. "And some of us have already been exhausted by today's efforts. He needs as much time as we do to regain his strength back. In the meantime, we must focus on healing our own strength before searching for him." Hiruko sat there for a while. The orange berries were working surprisingly well. He could feel his aching joints being soothed by an invisible force. "We'll scan the entire perimetre this evening," Hiruko suggested as he lay his head back and breathed deeply. He just couldn't believe Koatia was out there now. The evil had been unleashed once more onto Lacina...Hiruko feared their survival in the future. Koatia was not a particular threat whilst he was weak. The battle today was only a minor one and in a couple of days, he would have returned to full strength once again. Hiruko growled slightly and wished that Tialka could be at peace once more as it had done over the years.

He spoke up, thinking that they didn't hear him. "Thank you for the meal and the bed. Now what happened to the wolf? I take it that he escaped?"

Finally Kiba had awakened. Relieved, Hiruko watched as he ate the meal that he had prepared for him. Luckily, it was still fairly warm. "I'm afraid the wolf, Koatia, escaped," Hiruko said. "I tried to take him down but he has become too strong." He frowned slightly but then kept a neutral face. He didn't want any of them to pick up on his worry.

"I wouldn't worry about it. I can still feel the spell I placed on him. It is still active, if only slightly. He won't regain any power with it still on him. He might even lose a bit of power over time." He put his katana back up onto his back and stretched, yawning.

Hiruko suddenly remembered the chains still bound to Koatia's tail and neck and he nodded at Kiba. It was silent for a while as no one had anything to suggest. Koatia could be doing anything right now. "Well, like I said, we should check the whole area anyway, just in case," Hiruko said. "If we can't restrain him, there's only one option left. He must be killed."

Mira had turned to face the back of the den, laying her head on her paws while laying down, her long tail swishing playfully. She hoped that what Kiba had said was true, and that Koatia would not gain strength, and hopefully lose strength. She sighed slightly, the yawned (subsequently not hearing Hiruko's comment on killing Koatia), though she was not tired - thanks to those orange berries Hiruko had put in the stew.

"I will not kill anyone. I fight to protect myself, my friends, and the innocent. But I will not kill anyone." He got up and stared at them with his sharp gray eyes saying, "I can sense the spell, and while it is faint, I can give you a general direction of where he is. So there is no hurry to kill him. If I must then I will teleport him to the Shadowrealms. You do not want to go there, and you don't want to know what happens to those in there." He walked over to the door. "I feel that there is someone in pain nearby, so I will assist them. I will be back shortly." The shadows swallowed him and put him back at the lake.

Mira's ears picked up at the word 'kill'. "Kill?" she said, astonished. She stood up, and faced Hiruko. "You plan to kill Koatia?" She knew that Koatia was considered evil, but Mira was more of a pacifist - hates war, hates fights, hates killing.

Hiruko didn't want to kill either, it was true. But it was for a good reason if he ever did have to. Koatia was looking for revenge on Hiruko and he would surely be a threat to his friends...to hurt the ones he loved. Hiruko sighed pathetically. "Well," Hiruko said standing up and looking at Mira. "I'm going to search the forest. If what Kiba has said about the chains is true, then he can't go too far. He wouldn't be out of Lacina by now." Hiruko paused before leaving. He couldn't help but stare into Mira's blue eyes. They were so blue, so caring and so...captivating. Hiruko almost lost all thoughts until he realised that he'd been standing there for about half a minute. He cleared his throat. "So..." he said, flushing slightly and took off into the forest, glad to get away from that embarrassing situation. Hiruko scanned the forest for any signs of movement or scent. Everything was normal. He couldn't even pick up a trail from where Koatia had taken off. The sun was setting now and the forest was beginning to darken. After an hour of searching, Hiruko had almost lost hope. Koatia had to be far away by now. But it wasn't worth giving up. Suddenly, Hiruko heard a faint growling. It couldn't be Koatia; it wasn't canine. This growl was coming from a feline creature. He recognised the scent well. Then it hit Hiruko. "Hayashi," he muttered under his breath. A tall figure emerged from the veil of darkness that the shadows of the trees had cast upon it. The creature was a Torakan like Hiruko though slightly bigger built. He was taller in height and had bulkier features such as his chin, arms and chest. "It's nice to see you again, Hiruko," the Torakan said. "It's been years now." He was smirking slightly and had stopped just a few feet away from Hiruko. "What are you doing here?!" Hiruko roared. Hayashi laughed. His laugh was dark and mysterious. It sent shivers down Hiruko body and made his fur stand on end slightly. "To see my little brother of course." "You aren't welcome here, Hayashi!" "Do you welcome all your guests with that attitude?" Hayashi said. "I think you should show your big brother a little bit of respect. We are blood, after all." Hiruko flinched at his last sentence. It drove him mad that he could ever be related to someone as big-headed as Hayashi. "You should leave," Hiruko said, lowering his head, focused intently on Hayashi. His paws were raised slightly and his snarl showed some of his teeth. "But I've only just arrived," Hayashi smiled darkly.

Mira watched Hiruko go with an odd expression on her face. He'd been staring at her for almost 30 seconds before he'd left. She shook her head, and waited in the den. But when it began to get dark, she was worried, for Hiruko hadn't returned. Making up her mind, she went out to look for him. Soon enough, she came upon the scene of Hiruko, and another Torakan.

Hiruko and Hayashi turned to face Mira who had just shown up. "So, who is this?" Hayashi said, his smile widened even more and his chest stuck out confidentally. Hiruko glared at Hayashi with stern eyes. Hayashi was such a show off. "What is a beautiful young queen like you doing hanging out with this loser?" Hayashi continued. "You should come with me, show me around a bit, give me a tour. It would be polite for someone to look after their guest seen as Hiruko shows no interest in doing so." Hiruko was getting madder and madder. Slowly he began to move in front of Mira.

Kiba had been sitting in a nearby tree, trying to collect his thoughts when Hiruko appeared. He seemed to be talking to someone, but when he snarled at the new person he got up and walked over to him. HIs katana was drawn and it coldly reflected the moonlight on it's black blade. It was up on his shoulder when he stepped next to Hiruko. "Is he causing problems?"
