Kiryu had been wandering around for a while now, unsure what to make of Tialka's other inhabitants. The Fox had largely remained to himself other than dealing with a couple of attacks from feral animals. The wounds on the fox's body had healed well, no doubt due to the increased healing effect the fox was used to, however the fox pondered if in this new place would it fade.
Kiryu has always been one for solitude mostly, it kept him alive, the high cliffs ahead of his would also be a test yet if he could reach the peak perhaps the fox could settle here. The waterfall was just ahead and the torrent of water broke on rocks part-way down the cliff, creating a mist that had dampened the floor. Kiryu noted that to survive he would have to tread lightly as the abrasive action of the water may also lead to rockfalls.
There was a path to the right moving away from the waterfall however Kiryu wished to reach the summit quickly. Leaping onto a platform of outstretched rock Kiryu began his ascent, the fox's quick reactions allowed him to land safely onto the rock but his paws slipped on the moss, forcing the fox to brace himself onto the cliff face itself for support. The water was still a ways away but the Fox could afford no errors as, although a fall from the water seemed survivable, he could not guarantee how deep the water was or whether falling rocks would create a deathtrap under the water.
The cliffs sparkled in the sunlight, the fox could blend in well here, he himself sparkling a little bit brighter. The only thing that gave the fox away was his black wing yet he knew that he wanted to find a cave or a spot that would be difficult to reach so the fox continued climbing.

After keeping an eye on Kiryu until he had awoken, Hiruko had secretly followed him for two reasons: firstly, he wasn't sure whose side the small fox was on and secondly, he was worried the enemy would either find him and kill him or they would brainwash him into joining their side. After following him for a while, they had come to a giant waterfall. Hiruko had never been here but he had known there had been a waterfall as he could sometimes hear it when he was on the outer parts of Lacina Lake.
Kiryu was being daring, risking the slippery rocks and Hiruko could only watch and wait. He was concerned that he would fall as the rocks were extremely slippery from the water. "I'd be careful if I were you," Hiruko said, immerging from the hidden shrubs.

The fox's small size led to a good centre of gravity as he leapt to the next stone up the cliff face he heard a voice calling out to him. Looking back he saw Hiruko, the fox wondered where he was when he had to fight off those wolves, but gave him credit for being incredibly fast.
"I will do" the fox called back, "It's a nice place, could settle down here, difficult near impossible to get to, I'll match the background and it's nice and cold. Theres also running water" the fox smiled. "Now I need a cave or a large perch are you gonna help or stand down there?" Kiryu asked in as friendly a manner as the fox could muster.

Kiryu had obviously had a rough life. His gruff attitude proved that but either way, Hiruko was sure that underneath his tough shell, he was a kind creature. "Sure," Hiruko shouted back, making his way to the rocks and jumping swiftly from rock to rock. On two legs, he could use his arms to hold onto ledges. He was also a very good climber naturally so slippery rocks were no problem at all. Hiruko climbed close to the waterfall: the spray it created was refreshing and cool on his face. The way the water bent from the waterfall meant that Hiruko could see behind it. Then he saw an opening. "Kiryu! Come look at this!" he shouted to him. "There seems to be a cave behind this waterfall!"

Kiryu leapt over the rocks and onto the cliff space springing off to cove.r the large gap between Hiruko and Kiryu. Landing on the same rock the fox looked behind the water. "A cave? jump through quick and lets check it out" the fox smirked.

Nat walked up the slippery rocks, using her claws to keep upright. She didn't really like going near water because of her fiery nature and abilities, but she hadn't explored this part yet, and she liked learning about new places. Higher up, she could see Hiruko and an unknown inhabitant were looking around.
"Hello Hiruko!" she called, eyeing the new arrival warily. "Who's that with you?" Nat began to make her way further up.

"Nat!" Hiruko said, diverting his attention away from Kiryu quickly to see the new arrival. "It's been so long!" He smiled widely, it was nice to see some old friends again, people he hadn't seen in so long. "This is Kiryu, he's a new arrival here," he said nodding over to Kiryu's direction. "Kiryu, this is Nat, one of my friends." Unsure of how they would react to each other, Hiruko decided to invite Nat to join them on their little exploring. "Would you like to come and see this cave Nat?" Hiruko asked politely. "We're looking for a home for Kiryu."

Kiryu looked at the Dingo, raising his wing carefully he pushed it through the waterfall. The force of the water straining the fox "Both of you into the cave quickly" the fox barked, before looking and Nat and saying "Welcome, you can take point."

She eyed Kiryu warily once more, but Hiruko had said he was a friend, and she trusted Hiruko. She lightly made her way up before dashing into the cave. The waterfall had gotten to her fur, so she shook.
"It's a bit dark in here," she muttered, then summoned a ball of fire to float at the top of the cave. She was slowly getting used to her powers, thanks to the acceptance and encouragement of the Tribe.

"It's okay," Hiruko whispered to Nat, putting a reassuring paw on her. "I think he is as wary of us as we are of him." He continued forward into the cave which was perfectly lit by Nat's fire. It was very large and spacious, not a place of choice for Hiruko as it was too hidden away but it seemed perfect for Kiryu.
"So what do you think Kiryu?" Hiruko asked, turning around to face him. "Is this good enough for you?"

Kiryu's was able to see well through the dark, moving on a little Kiryu pondered how far this cave went and why it had been carved out of the waterfall. "I like it, a lot but I get this feeling that it could be too good to be true." For Kiryu the cave was a great home, difficult to get to for most others and it was nice and cold.
"I'm going to check out the rest of the cave then I'll decide, I'm not sure if everything feels right." The fox nodded before dashing off into the darkness.

"Wait up!" Hiruko shouted. He didn't want to leave Nat alone on her own. But it was too late, he had already dashed away from them into the dark cave without Nat's light to guide him.
"Looks like he's off," Hiruko said to Nat. "But don't worry, there's no need to rush ourselves."

"Better follow him then," said Nat in a cheerful tone, despite her wariness of him. She started forward to go into the cave, and her ball of fire followed above her.
Nat turned to face Hiruko. "Come on then," she said with a smile.

Kiryu continued to run into the darkness, thoughts on who or what carved out this cave filled the foxes mind, he stopped and listened out for the others, nothing he must be too far ahead. The fox sniffed the air cautiously. "Hello" Kiryu called out, a place this perfect must have an owner the Fox noted and I'll fight them for it he resolved, the fox started heading for the back of the cave.

"That young fox is so mischievous!" Hiruko said to Nat. "For all we know, there could already be something living here!" on that note, there came a low growling. It didn't sound threatening...for now but it was certainly something to be worried about.
"Is that you Kiryu?" he asked variously into the darkness. Waiting for a reply, Hiruko made a gesture to Nat for them to move along in case Kiryu was in any danger.

Post by Seirei Hisakata on Jan 5, 2012 18:49:45 GMT -1
Seirei had been strolling through the rainforest-like foliage that surrounded the main feature of the area: Isel Falls. He had not been here many times himself, as Tialka was so large with so many hidden treasures that even he hadn't explored everywhere in detail. Having walked for a long time, Seirei paused to drink at the pool that spread out from the bottom of the waterfall, the continuous movement making the water fresh and cool.
Wanting to refresh himself, he stuck his head straight into the fall, the freezing cold curtain so forceful it pushed his head down a little. As he stood there, enjoying the water splashing over his face, he thought he saw a little flicker of fire or something glowing. Walking forwards he was surprised to find that behind the water was actually a cave. Again he saw the orange flicker reflect off the wall and round a corner. Curiousity getting the better of him, he entered the cave and sped up to catch up with whatever it was.

Kiryu was still far ahead of the others, a growling came from the darkness, finding what Kiryu believed to be the end of the cave he looked around cautiously. All the Fox could make out was a clearing where some light was allowed in through a small hole in the roof as well as many stalactites and stalagmites on the floor around the fox. "Who's there" the Fox demanded, out of the darkness came a set of eyes they stared the Fox down as more and more pairs lit up in the darkness. Six at least the Fox noted as a snarl came out from the darkness, the fox quickly enveloped itself in its wing and moved into the dark, "Your not the only one who can do that" Kiryu said triumphantly as he quickly moved away from where he spoke to confuse his would be attackers.

As the growling became louder, Hiruko could hear an echo of Kiryu throughout the cave as well. Something came up behind them as Hiruko nearly jumped to realise that it was Seirei.
"Oh Seirei," Hiruko said, relaxing a little. "A new friend of ours is getting himself into trouble. We were just following him."
