"It helps if you can fly," he smiled. "There are some ledges you can climb up, but it's kinda slippy." He looked up at his home, realising it was daunting to visitors. "One day, if you wrap yourself around one of the holes in my wing, I'll fly you up there. It's nothing fancy though."
He trotted back towards the outcrop, picking up some home-made wooden flasks. He had carved them out of local wood, holding them together with a special resin gathered at Coral Bay. The funnels were sturdy leaves held together with tree sap.
"I don't have too much technology out here, I get most of what I need from nature." He looked down embarassed. "Most of the stuff I have made myself, I'm not as fancy as a lot of the other Tialkans." He laughed nervously as he popped the flasks on the ground.

She laughed nervously "that sounds like an.. interesting... flight" she went a little red, wrapping herself around Kiryu's wing sounded a little bit of a scary way to travel. She smiled when she saw Kiryu's slight embarassment about his crude equipment. "There's nothing wrong with that, everyone has their own way of doing things" her tone was warm and reassuring, and she patted him on the arm in a friendly manner. "You might have to show me how it's done first though" she laughed a little.

"It's not too far up and it's safer than climbing up the rocks," he pointed out. "Have you ever flown before?" Kiryu looked at Seema, smiling. "Maybe I should consider getting a staircase?" Kiryu began wondering whether he would build an elaborate staircase out of wood or glass.
"I'm all about home improvement," he reaffirmed. "Out here at Isel Falls you just lack a lot of the amenities the other Tialkans take for granted," he stated, in an attempt to retain his dignity. Yet again, he just felt embarrassed. His home was hardly impressive. A cave in a waterfall. As if I had wanted to look like any more of a simpleton, he thought, sighing quietly.
Kiryu had never juiced anything before, but he would try and make it up as he went along. He took the crystal, using the bladed edge to cut a channel within the rock. He then placed the flask at the end of the channel, balancing the rock upon a log, so gravity would lead the juice to the funnel waiting at the top of the flask below.
Preparations done, he picked up a grapefruit from the basket and put his head closer, focusing on his work. Using the bladed edge of the crystal, he cut into the fruit. Juice spewed out from the wounded grapedruit, splattering the fox's face. The citrus burnt his eye and he yelped in surprise. Lifting his paws, he began vigorously rubbing his eyes, tears streaming down his face. "Not like that," he warned Seema, and his face went red, a mixture of pain and utter embarrassment.

She smiled "You've got nothing to prove to me, you know, Kiryu" she said softly, fetching a cup of water for Kiryu to splash in his eyes. "It's your home, if it suits you then that's all that matters. You don't have to change anything to feel like you're keeping up with other people, or to feel like you're impressing them."
Taking another grapefruit from the basket, she looked at it carefully, then took the crystal and slowly and gently cut around the edge of the fruit until it fell into two halves. She smiled "This might just work" she said, using one hand to cut the flesh of the grapefruit and the other to gently squeeze out the juice she was releasing. "It's a little messy though, it's all over my paws!" she laughed, finishing with the first half of the grapefruit and examining her sticky paws.

Kiryu dipped his paws into the water, lifting them and brushing his eyes. "Thank you" he said greatfully, "I suppose my home is the last reason people visit Isel Falls" he smiled, a small stinging sensation burning faintly within his eyes.
"Of course it works, this took lots of planning!" He trotted over to the pool at the bottom of the falls and filled a bucket to the brim with water. Carrying it over carefully, he set it inbetween himself and Seema. "Here, you can wash the juice off your paws, princess" he said jokingly. He smiled deeply, flashing his white teeth again.
Kiryu sat down, rubbing his eye gently before picking a fresh fruit from the basket, an apple this time. He cut into it quickly, keeping his muzzle away from the fruit. He began to use the blunt side of the crystal to juice the fruit, the liquid rolling down the channel and into the flask below.

Seema laughed a little, blushing as Kiryu teased her. "There's no need to be mean, mister" she pouted, as she washed her paws off in the bucket.
Once her paws were clean, she looked back up at Kiryu. "And I didn't mean that at all; Isel falls is beautiful, but let's be honest and admit you're the main reason people dare set foot here. I just mean that the people round here don't care about appearances or fancy homes - if they come to see you, it is for you, not for your home." she smiled softly, something genuine and sweet in her face that could so rarely be spotted. It was in moments like this, when Seema spoke from her heart, that you could see something of the resemblance to Tersias in her face - that same little twinkle lit her eyes and that same little flush rose in her cheeks that could so often be seen in her young sister's features.
This said, she set the dried out grapefruit to one side and began to set to work with the juicing, taking a seperate flask for each type of fruit she dealt with to keep the flavours seperate.

Kiryu sat up, looking over at Seema as he contorted his face, looking hurt. "Me, mean?" he asked incredulously. "No, it simply cannot be," he spoke softly, adding a pang of sorrow to his words, shaking his head.
Kiryu smiled at Seema. It was so rare that he even had visitors, yet she was so kind to him, and he believed that she meant every word she said. What made him so lucky, he sighed happily, a tinge of red painting his cheeks. He was so used to spending his time alone, yet just to have company - especially someone special to him - was invaluable in what had otherwise been a dark time.
"Thank you," he said, a toothy smile curling across his muzzle.

She smiled "You're very welcome" she said, as she finished juicing an apple. She was really enjoying Kiryu's company and was very glad to have it. Things had been very stressful lately and it was good to have someone to spend some time with.
"Thank you for having me today, I'm having fun" she said with a warm smile, a slight redness colouring her cheeks.

Kiryu took in the moment, a light evening breeze whisking petals from the nearby forest, dancing geacefully in the air. The two of them continued cutting and squeezing, their job nearly finished as indicated by the growing collection of flasks representing all manner of juices.
"Well if ever gets to much, there's a tropical paradise and a friendly face here. Your welcome anytime." he smiled. "Although you may have to worry about getting juice on your scarf" he joked joyfully.
"It's getting late" the tone of his voice was sad, the intense heat had passed. The sun starting to set on the horizon castling long shadows across the waterfall. "Do you live far away?" he asked, concerned.

Seema looked up at the sky. Where on earth had the day gone? Darkness was closing in fast, and the walk home wasn't a short one.
"I'm living in the forest... I had no idea how late it was getting. " She grabbed her bag and slung it over her shoulder. "I should really get going, this has been great but it's a long walk home and I still need to go out and find some food for this evening"

"I wouldn't worry about that" Kiryu looked around, the night was rapidly approaching. "There are more than enough provisions in my home, I will fetch something momentarily. Do you have any preference?" he asked quietly, a strong breeze shifting through the trees around them.
"I would offer you a room for the night, but you seem a tad frightful of flying" he paused before adding " And I'd definitely not want you scaling the rockface at dusk either." He sighed, thinking about how inaccessible his home was, this being the second time in recent memory that it had been a burden.
"If it's no trouble, I would like to escort you home." he asked shyly. "It's not safe at night, especially due to recent events, even for someone who can take care of herself." He put on a small smile, worry spread across his features. "Consider it a thank you for your help today?" he offered.

Seema blushed a little. "Flying isn't something I have much experience of, and you're right, it does make me feel a little uncomfortable." she felt a little foolish being afraid, "But if I'm entirely honest I'm not sure I'd be able to find the house in the dark... I've not been living in the forest very long and my sense of direction is atrocious."
Seema's slight blush suddenly blossomed into a deep red, almost as dark as blood. She felt very foolish, not knowing the way to her own home, but she had only recently moved into her home in the trees and she didn't know that area of the forest at all well yet.

Kiryu smiled, using his wing to brush her shoulder gently. "If you're forced to fly, you'll hate it," he said sadly, thinking back upon his first flight. He wandered a few steps towards the water's edge, looking at his reflection staring back at him. "You're very lucky that I have been to your home," he smiled at her. "That ... and I have an impeccable sense of direction," he turned and winked slyly.
Trotting over to the outcrop, he grabbed his basket. "Please, give me one moment," he whispered, crouching low to the ground, before springing into the air. He spread his wing, soaring majestically towards his cavern, disappearing behind the waterfall.
Once inside, he shook off the water quickly whilst briskly moving towards the back of the cave. Natural forming ice within the cavern had been carved out into a store room. He left any remaining fruit in the basket, adding some bread, cheese and ham. He prepared a flask of his homemade berry soup, along with a collection of non-essentials, covering it all with a small cloth. He ran to the entrance, before sliding out carefully; he didn't want the bread to be soggy. He wasn't diving this time. Instead, he spread his wing to it's apex and glided towards Seema below.
"Sorry to keep you waiting, I've prepared a small token of my appreciation," he smiled, blushing slightly. "It should be enough to tide you over 'till morning," he laughed nervously, worried he had packed a little too much into the basket.
"Anyway ..." he said aloud, swiftly changing the subject. "I will be your tour guide for the evening. I know a lovely place to stay out in the forest," he said. his smile barely visible in the fading light. "I wouldn't worry about forgetting the way home, you just moved in," he said reassuringly. "You also haven't been in Tialka long, am I right?"

Seema smiled broadly, her blush looking almost like cherries appearing in her cheeks it was so bright. She took the basket from Kiryu tentatively. "Are you sure that you can spare all this?" she asked softly, feeling almost guilty for taking so much from someone who was fast becoming such a dear friend. "I don't want you going short for my sake, Kiryu ..."
Her broad grin had become replaced rapidly by a serious look of genuine concern. Friends were a rare find for Seema, and she didn't like the thought that she might be taking advantage of those she did have; it wasn't like her to take anything at all. "I can't take all this, Kiryu, I'd feel awful depriving you of so much," she said, a little sadly.

Kiryu smiled, noting the flush of colour, his cheeks responding automatically the same. "Pay it no heed, a thank you for your assistance today," he smoothly reiterated. "I own a large territory and live alone," he said, a tone of sadness etched into his words. "I assure you that I will not be without going hungry any time soon," he elaborated, forcing a thoughtful smile.
A pack of feral wolves could be heard howling in the distance; the creatures of Isel would not disturb him. Many he had fought before, causing them no more harm than necessary to bring about a retreat. Yet he also did not wish to take any chances with his present company. Just a little protective, eh? "I think that's our cue to depart," he said, his grin broadening. "No time to worry about food," he affrimed, before ushering Seema forward ever so gently with his wing.
They began walking towards her tree top home; the trip to Lacina Forest would be a long one, giving them plenty of time to talk. "How are things coming along at your treehouse? Are you in need of anything to get it finished?" His genuine concern coated his words.

The slightest touch of Kiryu's wing on her shoulder made Seema's fur bristle a little as a slight shiver ran down her spine and her stomach tied itself in knots. Luckily the descending darkness disguised her blush a little - or at least she hoped it did.
"If you're sure you can spare this then it will go a long way to making things more comfortable, thank you, Kiryu" she said graciously, looking at the basket again. The food in it would easily do her through the night and probably the next day as well. "As to the treehouse, it's still very empty I'm afraid. I don't mind it as it is, I'm an army girl, after all. I'm not exactly about creature comforts, it's just nice to have a place that's mine. But I do worry that people will think me a little uncivilised, as my furniture is rather primitive. I'm still using hay bales for pretty much everything, but if I'm honest that's how i like it. Hay is comfy and cheap and it can handle a bit of knocking about, so why bother with anything else?"

Kiryu continued walking, the sun set behind them casting a red haze across the skyline. "You associate with a fox who lives in a cave, remember?" he reminded her, "by comparison you would at least be an army lady" adding a posh emphasis to the final word, a coy smile curling across his muzzle.
"Whilst I wouldn't call myself a professional, I am more than a capable carpenter" confidence lashing the words he spoke, he looked to Seema. "If you need any furniture, I can make it for you!" He paused before eagerly adding "even a hay bale sofa!"
Kiryu laughed a little, the cool night air washed over him. "How is your....guest?" Despite his best intentions, slight disgust etched his words. "Is he on his way back to health?"

Seema laughed, her eyes twinkling. "As wonderful as the offer is, I'm still figuring out exactly what I need. I'd really appreciate some help when I do get around to dealing with proper furniture, though" she smiled.
The subject of Kurai immediately dampened her spirits. Her houseguest had almost immediately established himself as a force to be reckoned with, and Seema now knew that her agreeing to his plan had been a dangerous and bad move. That said, there was very little to be done about that now - Seema's aim was survival. Reminding herself of that fact was the only thing allowing her to continue this tormenting double life.
Realising that she was getting lost in her thoughts, Seema pulled herself back to the present with a snap. She couldn't let Kiryu see how things were getting to her, or people would be suspicious. She smiled nervously, and adjusted her scarf. Underneath the green fabric, dark blotches were visible through her silvery fur, creating a ring around the base of her neck - deep bruises which she was anxious to hide. Fortunately, her scarf was large and people were used to her wearing it, so she felt fairly confident it was doing its job.
"He's doing okay, I think, yeah. His temperament hasn't improved much, but I suppose anyone would be a little grumpy in his situation. He seems to be recovering though, which is good" she smiled.
