The day was dawning, the sun casting long shadows over the jagged rocks at Isel Falls. The water sparkling brightly as rays of light bounced off it.
Kiryu had awoken mere moments ago, today he had a purpose, an idea. He bounded out of the cave, bursting through the rushing water and freefalling into the water below. As he fell the light glistened against his fur, he wrapped his wing around his body and plunged into the pool of water.
It was cold, he opened his eyes watching fish swim away alarmed. Opening his wing, he used it to propel his way forward and back to the surface. Surfacing from the water he took a deep breath.
That's one way to wake up, he thought while dragging himself onto the bank. He began searching the nearby forest. He entered his orchard, he had never considered it his before. Yet it seemed as good a time as any to claim it as his own.
Kiryu looked up at the apple tree, full of juicy, dark red apples. He lay out his wing, steadying himself. Before throwing himself at the tree trunk, the tree shook slightly, yet no apples fell from it's branches. Determined, he tried again, an apple dislodges itself, hurtling towards the ground before hitting him on the head and breaking apart. Kiryu launched himself at the tree, knocking down a selection of the ripest apples, swiftly using his wing to catch them during their descent.
He continued his progress, collecting the fruits in a basket he had built with the help of the Phoenix Clan. It was irritating when a piece of fruit would fall through one of the holes on his wing, or he couldn't catch them all but he soon had a good, variety selection of fruits.
Kiryu smiled, taking a small break in the shade of one of the older oak trees, avoiding the sun that was now blazing in the sky.

It was early in the morning and Seema was out for a walk to clear her head. Seirei's den was busy, and with Tersias home things were far too excitable for her liking. So Seema was once again exploring the forests by Isel Falls - a bit of Tialka which was quiet enough for her not to meet too many people, but where those she met would probably be good company. The forest was dense, and Seema was just beginning to worry she might not be able to find her way back when she came across what appeared to be an orchard. Her jaw dropped. Row upon row of trees bearing beautiful red apples lay before her eyes, each one almost seeming like it might buckle under the weight of its treasure. "wow..." she muttered, looking all around her at the trees.[ftp][/ftp] [[OOC - didn't know who/what this thread was for so figured i'd jump in, but if I'm intruding just say and i'll delete ]]

((No It's Ok I Wanted Someone To Show Up))
Kiryu looked over at the basket, now overflowing with fruit. "And this was the easy part he muttered", whilst the heat made him feel sleepy, he avoided the temptation. He heard rustling in the distance, his ears perked up slightly.
In the distance he could make it what seemed to be Seema, why would she be here now he wondered, he sighed deeply, there was little he could do now. "Seema!" he called out, swiftly heading over, his hair flowing in the light summer breeze, "what are you doing out here?"

Hearing a voice, Seema wheeled round to find Kiryu approaching her. She was not hugely surprised to find him here, as it was his territory after all, and smiled warmly - still somewhat unusual for her. "Hi Kiryu" she said warmly "I'm just out for a walk, figured I would get some me time today nice and early, before Tersias and the cubs wake up and the den gets hectic" she chuckled a little, and shrugged. "But hey, they're family, what can ya do?" Realising her family was probably not the first thing on Kiryu's mind, Seema looked around her again. "This place is amazing, how did I never find it before?" she asked with a smile.

"Your about a mile away from the waterfalls on the eastern edge of the orchard, you can hear the rushing water" he smiled back brightly. "Well for me time, I can't say I would be the best company" he joked. As the sunshing began bleaching the small clearing.
"Have you been to Isel Falls often?" he said softly, "it took me a while to find this orchard, today is the first time I have ever used it". He laughed nervously, wondering how much longer it would be until she found out what he was up to.
"I wouldn't know much about family, if you can believe it, I don't make many friends. I am sure Seirei and Tersias speak very highly of me" he said, his tone saddening as he finished up his sentence.

"If I'm honest, Seirei and I aren't on the best of terms, and Tersias is not in any condition for small talk at the moment, so I'm afraid I haven't heard them mention you at all" Seema shrugged, "Sorry." Returning to looking around herself "I haven't been to the falls often, but every time I do I find something amazing. It's beautiful" she smiled, "What do you mean by use it, though?" she asked curiously.

"I have been collecting fruit!" he exclaimed, "only the ripest, those that would fall from the tree, with a little persuasion" the bruise on his shoulder and example of his persuasive techniques.
"Why the falls then?" he asked slyly. "I am sure there are other parts of Tialka one can explore" he changed the subject quickly and almost flawlessly, or so he thought.

"Why not the falls?" she asked with a wry half-smile, watching Kiryu's expression carefully. "It's a beautiful place, and it's not as cold as some places, so it seemed as good a place as any to explore. I haven't upset your territory, have I?" she smirked a little, "I can always go somewhere else if that's what you'd rather?" She asked sweetly, a small pout playing across her lips as she passed Kiryu and picked up an apple from the basket lying behind him.

"Well have it your way", he replied courteously, smiling "but I wouldn't eat that fruit, it's a present!"
Leaping briskly into the air, he landed on a branch, half way up the tree above. Using his wing as a counterbalance, he ignored a few apples before finding a juicy looking one, the deep red reflecting onto Kiryu, colouring his silver fur pink. He quickly polished it with the feathers, before leaping down, apple in tow.
He landed in front of Seema, "this one is for you, I picked it especially. he smiled and blushed slightly. "Perhaps you'd like to help me with something." He looked uncertain, "unless you have plans for the rest of the day?"

Seema smiled, attempting not to blush, and put her pilfered apple back in the basket in exchange for the one Kiryu was holding. "So... who are those a present for?" she asked nonchalantly, indicating the basket.
Looking again at the apple Kiryu had brought her, she smiled and took a bite, although not a large one for fear of looking unladlylike. The sweet juice flooded into her mouth and her smile grew - it was good. Finishing her mouthful, she looked Kiryu up and down as if pondering a decision.
"Well, I didn't have any plans in particular" she shrugged breezily, "So I suppose they will depend on what you had in mind?" She looked at him curiously, was he flirting with her? Or just being friendly. Friends were a rare thing for Seema, so she was finding this very confusing - how did friends behave? And what should she do?

He smiled as Seema looked to be enjoying her apple, personally he was not one for fruit. Kiryu did not dislike it, it was just a luxury he was unaccustomed to.
"Don't jump at the chance then" he said laughing, "today I am planning on making fresh juice, if I recall you are somewhat of an expert in this field." He indicated to the basket of varying fruits nearby, "I've been up since daybreak, gathering"
He looked at the ground, blushing slightly "I mean, only if ya want to", he exclaimed, looking up and smiling brightly as he spoke.

Seema smiled broadly "That sounds like a really nice idea, kiryu. Although I'm far from an expert" she corrected him quickly. "I'm rather keen on juices, but know almost nothing about making them or anything." She blushed a little "Yeah, that sounds like a really nice way to spend a day, Kiryu. If I wouldn't be intruding, that is."

"I invited you back to Isel, didn't I?" he winked slyly, "then you couldn't be intruding."
He looked over at the pile of fruit he had collected, "well I knew almost nothing about collecting fruit when the day had begun" He smiled at Seema, noticing the twinge of pink in her cheeks. "I'd like to think I'm on my way to being an expert."
"We can make it up as we go along, it can't be that difficult!" he laughed. "Plus we can use your talents as a juice connoisseur in a taste test, if you approve, then I know we're doing it right."
He walked over to her, almost a bounce in his step. "C'mon it will be fun!" he said, as if she had needed more convincing.

Seema laughed a little "Alright, keep your hair on" she grinned, watching Kiryu. There was something excitable about him that reminded her of a pup, but it was kinda cute. Very cute, in fact.
Keep your cool, seema she thought to herself as she felt her cheeks flushing a little, and she cleared her mind a little. "It sounds like a well spent day, I'd be more than happy to stay and help out."

"Perfect!" he smiled, unintentionally flashing his sparkling white canines farther than he normally would. He picked up basket with his paw, looking at the remaining fruit on the floor. He maneuvered his wing, gracefully picking up any remaining fruit on the floor. An orange rolled along the feathers on his wing, before falling through one of the holes in his wing.
Anything to make him look battered and beaten, his smile faded as he rolled the orange behind him with his back paw. "We're heading back towards the falls, you'll be looking for a small outcrop of rocks amongst the grass, they'll be some buckets and other supplies I prepared yesterday." He flicked the paw holding the bucket towards the waterfall, some grapes falling out, scattering on the ground below.
"Ladies first" he purred sweetly, beckoning her forward.

Seema smiled "Very well" she said, heading in the direction Kiryu had beckoned.
The ground around the falls was hilly and often slippy, so Seema's progress back towards the fall was somewhat tentative. She was nervous of the risk of having a fall like Kurai had had so recently, and so it was a little while before they reached the equipment Kiryu had set out.
The sun was beating down by now, and the temperature was beginning to climb. Seema sunk to the ground with a sigh, loosening off her scarf a little.

The flat plans at the base of the waterfall stretched out before them. "It's a little warm for a scarf" he noted, smiling. He picked up a large, flat chunk of rock that had fallen from the outcrop. He carried it over into the shade of a nearby willow tree, it's leaves painting a criss-cross of shadows upon the ground.
"There ya go, It's quite warm today, even for Isel Falls" he observed, placing his basket of fruit on the ground carefully before letting the fruit nestled in his wing roll onto the floor nearby.
He casually walked over to Seema, "here, take this". Kiryu passed a crystal into her hand, it had a sharp edge and was flat along the sides. It had grown in a cavern he was digging at the back of his den, there was something magical about those falls, he knew it. "The crystal was a cloudy white, with pink streaks, some mineral or another. "Should be good enough for juicing!"
Luckily he had brought 2, in case one would break, but hopefully not. "I live up there" he noted, pointing just about half way up the waterfall. You could see a small opening, drawing in light.

She laughed "I never go anywhere without one though" she shrugged, she dressed the same as always, even if it was warm. She wouldn't feel comfortable about being anywhere public without her scarf.
Taking the crystal, she looked down at it. "so how will we catch the juice?" she asked curiously.
She then looked up to where Kiryu was pointing - the cave seemed quite high up. "It can't be very easy to get to, looks like quite a climb"
