"Seirei" she whimpered, snuggling up to him "I thought you were leaving me, I thought I'd lost you" she was crying "I went in, I tried to save you, cos you were in the water and the lightning and you fell and...and...and..." she couldnt say any more, so she buried her head in Seirei's fur and allowed the tears to fall. "I love you Seirei" she whispered in his ear, almost choking on her own tears.

Seirei managed a smile. "Love you too...Tersias." He grinned. "See? I said it."
Seirei struggled to get to his feet, tensing against the pain. "Help me get inside Kiba's"

She looked worried "My poor Seirei" she sighed, standing up. She felt so useless, there was nothing she could really do, and when she'd tried to save him she'd landed them both in even more of a mess "I'm sorry I couldn't save you" she muttered, dejected.

Mira was at her friend's side at an instant, ready to help him to Kiba's. On her face, she held a small smile, glad that she had witnessed his declaration of love to Tersias. "Lean on me, Seirei, and I'll help you get to Kiba's," she said.

"Hushh, hush..You were very brave.." Seirei leaned slightly too much to one side and staggered a little into Mira. "If I hadn't heard your two voices, I wouldn't have woken up now, would I?"
Seirei took Mira's support gratefully, "Thanks, Mira."

"For a while I didn't think you were going to" she said, barely above a whisper. She stood on Seirei's other side, walking beside them. "I thought that was it, that you were dead". Tears fell silently, there was nothing more Tersias felt she could say. She simply walked beside the others silently, her eyes on the ground.

Mira, straining a little under Seirei's weight (added to the fact that she used quite a fair bit of energy trying to get him to shore), managed to help him get inside Kiba's holiday home. Inside, it was dry, cool, and dark. She let Seirei lay on the floor, and she went searching around Kiba's home to find either light, food, or something comfortable to lay on.

Seirei thankfully layed down on the cool stone floor of Kiba's home, which helped to soothe the pain that every now and then seared down his back. He found that he could open his eyes fully, now that he was in the shade. He shivered a little as the sharp wind attacked the holiday home, blowing through every crack. He was worried that the place wouldn't be able to withstand the full blast of the storm; it was already creaking under the pressure of the heavy rain and wind.
"Tersias.." he croaked. "He couldn't see where she was because it was painful to move his neck. "You need to start to border up the windows, like I mentioned before I was...You need to hurry. Do what you can."
He felt frustrated that he could do nothing, he had barely been able to walk the short distance from the beach to the house.
I need to recover quickly...With all the problems going on in Lacina at the moment, I can't afford to be out of action.
With his now fully awake eyes, he scoured the house for a sign of Kiba. Where could he have got to? Had he sheltered himself against the storm in the cellar?

Kiba came back into the house from the door outside. "What happened I heard screaming?" He looked orund the the little hut and saw Seirei, Mira, and Tersias all wet and Seirei had some scorch marks on his body.
He quickly pieced the scene together for himself and said, "It doesn't look too bad. It is a good thing you were wet or might have died. Mira, or Tersias, Go into the cellar and there is a small bad of green herbs, please get them for me. In the mean time, I should block out the storm."
He raised his hands and with some effort, a stone dome formed around the house, small holes near the bottom for air. He then made a fire in the pit in the center of the room. "Seirei, it might hurt a little but I want you to try to scoot over to the fire."
He went over to the fridge and got a few icecubes. some water and a cloth. He wet the cloth with the water and put the ice cubes in the folds, setting it on Seirei's head, tring to keep his tempurature down. He did the same for Tersias.

Seirei clenched his jaw against the pain as he did as Kiba instructed. He closed his eyes as Kiba placed the ice bag on top of his head, which felt relieving. He was glad that Kiba was there to take care of things. Assured that the house would be safe against the storm, he allowed himself to go to sleep.
As Seirei slipped deeper and deeper asleep, the dream that often haunted him unfolded before his closed eyes. He watched - as he always did - from a distance, as the dark silhouette of a large wolf rose from crouching next to his father, now still and lifeless. The shadow would turn and the light from a red sunrise would reveal the cause of his grief, his nemesis whom he would never forgive.
"How could you" he cried out. He struggled to get to his father but the further he ran, the further his father would slip out of his reach, a cruel laugh echoing around him as he struggled to keep up, his breath catching sharply in his chest as his strength failed.
"NOOO!" Seirei screamed as he watched his father fade into the shadows.
Seirei woke up, sweating, he could hear that he had screamed out loud. He flopped back onto his back, and wished that he hadn't; he had forgotten about his injury. He turned his head to look out of the window, only to see the light had been blocked by Kiba's protective rock dome.
He couldn't get back to sleep. He felt restless, trapped on the floor.

"Settle down Seirei. It was only a bad dream. You probably can't move very much can you? Probably some temporary nerve damage from the electricity that went through your body. Your nerves are misfiring, so just relax and after a few minutes it should go away. I am surprised that you are awake so soon. I wasn't expecting you to be up for another hour or so.... Tersias is fine, in fact she is sleeping right over there, Mira too." He pointed over towards the two sleeping figures. "I won't lie to you, she is pretty bad, but you are worse. You both have a bad case of influenza, a common cold, so I would recommend after your burns heal for you to relax for a day or so and drink plenty of water, the same for Tersias. Ok?"

Seirei tried to relax, panting a little with the fever that had been slowly receding, but was still nausiating. He looked over in the direction that Kiba was pointing. Tersias looked so peaceful as she slept. He felt guilty for causing her any harm.
I was such an idiot to fly up there...What if I hadn't woken up in the sea?...I...
He couldn't look at her anymore, overpowered by shame. He flinched as a jab of firey pain shot up his back again.
"Damn it.." he cursed.
"Hey, Kiba." he spoke quietly, trying not to wake up the other two curled up on the floor. "Do you think the storm has passed us by yet? I can't hear anything."
Seirei longed to see the sunlight, or smell the salty tang of the sea. He needed to feel free.

Kiba looked around the stone dome, to the lower portions of open air. "It looks like it, I'll take the barrier down for you." He brought his hands down and the stone dropped back into the earth. The sunlight was harsh as it showed between two sparce clouds, the damage was significant. Tree's were blown over, the sea was at his raised doorstep. "I will have to get to work on this soon." He already started to set trees back up with his powers of nature and earth. "Feeling better Seirei?"

Seirei blinked happily as the intense daylight flooded the room. The wonderful smell of the ocean wafted in through the door, carried by a warm breeze. The storm was over. "Yes, thanks Kiba."
As carefully as he could, he got to his feet. It wasn't as hard as the night before, but his legs still shook before they adjusted to his weight. He made his way slowly to the door, but found he could not step out due to the fact the sea was right up to the step.
He whistled in amazement. "Some storm, eh?"
He absent-mindedly dipped his tail into the cool water, swirling it around in a figure of eight pattern. Another jab of pain seared up his back, but he ignored it as best as he could, he had to learn to deal with it. Seirei stood there for a while, watching Kiba as he fixed the beach. His fever had almost gone now; the fresh air had helped.

"There should be some pain for a while as the nerves reconnect their normal paths. It should last an hour tops." He finished the beach that he could see, the sand still covered by the stormwaters. "We should relax for a while until the waters receede."

"Yh, that's what we were trying to do from the beginning wasn't it?" he laughed.
Seirei turned back into the house, with Kiba following.
"If my back wasn't so bad, I could blow away the water with my wings. If it's only an hour 'till it won't be as painful, then I can wait."
He settled himself back down near the fire, every now and then gazing at Tersias as she slept. He notcied that the ice bag on top of her head had rolled off. Picking it up with his teeth, he placed it gently back on top of her forehead.

"That would be a bad idea. If you blow it away it has to go somewhere else, meanng that you could accidentally flood another area, or it could rebound and come right back in a large wave. The pain should recceede in in about 45 minutes, the nerves should be back to normal in an hour, meaning you will get back full mobility. You should drink some water, here." He passes him a cup of clear cool water. "It should help."

Seirei chuckled to himself. Kiba was so wise, yet he could see the problem with using his wings. With the great strength of the gusts he could create, who knows what could be damaged?
"Thanks," he muttered, as he gratefully drank the cool water in a single gulp.
His ears pricked up when he heard that in just under two hours he could regain full use of his body. He couldn't help smiling, it was good news after all, and everyone knows that such a large wolf hates to be cooped up. As soon as he could fly home, he would find a bandage to protect his burns on his back, until they had fully healed. He doubted that the fur would grow back there, they would be the scars of his foolishness.
He bowed his head again in shame, as he thought about what he had done to Tersias.
"Do you think me a fool?" he mumbled to Kiba. "For what I did?"
