"It's not that I don't want to give her a chance, it's really not!" she said, saddened by the thought that she came across like that "I just want people to realise that I am a grown up woman now, and treat me like it, and it always feels like Shiro's hiding things from me cos she thinks im not mature enough to handle them."

Seirei turned his head away from Ebony to look back at Tersias and the little pup scampered off freely to the other side of the room. "I'd run after her but. . .well...Anyway, I know that when we first met you, you were young and full of energy and curiousity and when you suddenly changed it took a while to get used to, i'm telling you." he grinned but continued. "I think at first even I was still a little OTT in the way I protected you, but you will prove yourself over time, and soon everyone will see what a capable fox. . .you. . are. . . "
Seirei's head suddenly flopped down onto the floor and gentle snores sounded from his nose.

Shiro turned her watery eyes around to see Mira. "Why... What's the point? I have been nothing but trouble, I feel like like I am different even if you guys treat me nice. I'm going to die soon anyway, so why not go by my terms?" She looked down to her feet.
"My brother once told me that the cruelest prison is the one you make for yourself out of fear and remorse. My key to the prison, it is here in my paws. So why do you stop me? Why deny me the pleasure of fading away?" She was still crying, her voice coming in choking sobs. "I don't want to stay like this Mira." She said nothing more, just cried to herself as she waited for something to happen.
((Sorry guys! Some idiot cut the cable line so no computer or Tv for seven to eight hours... See you tomorrow!))

"Do you honestly think it would be pleasurable, fading away?" she asked Shiro when the wolf's first bout of crying was over. "Think about those who you'd leave behind. You'd never live to see your brother settle down and be happy, you'd never get to see the cubs grow up, you wouldn't be able to see Hiruko and I marry. You'd miss so much, if you left us now. And we'd miss you. You know it's true, Shiro."

Shiro looked down, only few words escaping her mouth. "Do you know why I live in a prison of fear and remorse Mira?" She let the question hang in the air for a few seconds before she continued. "I remember Mira. Not a lot, but bits, flashes of what I have done. I live in fear because I am afraid to return to that. I live in remorse because I am sorry for what I did. It is tearing me apart!" She yelled out loudly.
"If I do change back.... You'll have to kill me. If I don't, I'll always live knowing what I did. I have been trouble for you and everyone else here since I arrived. So Fading away would at least make me forget. It will free my soul of my sins. Do you know an old saying Mira? An eye for an eye, a life for a life. I have taken so many, it is only fair to give mine back to them..." She stayed quiet, waiting for Mira's response.

"Yes, I do know that saying," replied Mira. "But I believe that it is a load of old - " she spoke a few words in a strange snow leopard dialect, and gave a small grin. "Not often I swear, is it." She shook her head, and returned to the topic at hand. "Yes, you remember bits and pieces. We know you killed so many people, but we are willing to give you a second chance. Tialka is willing to give you a second chance. And, crazy as I sound, I trust a rock's judgement. If you really want to free your sins, live your life for the ones you killed. Allow them to live through you. Everything good you do, you will be remembering them, whether it's conscious or not."

She looked down, deeply listening to her friend. "Maybe..... Maybe I was wrong to act so rashly..." She turned back to Mira. "But if I am to live my life, then can you get me out of here so I can stop the bleeding?" She asked and turned her head to show Mira her slightly cut and bleeding neck.

Mira thought for a moment, then released Shiro, but not her katana. "I'm sorry, but I don't want you pulling one over me. I'll return your katana when I feel you're not going to try anything." She gave a sad smile. "Go fix your wounds, I believe there are some good healing herbs right there." She gestured to a small lilac coloured flower with a bright yellow stem, usually only found on Mira's homeworld.

She smiled sadly. "Hmmm.... Thank you Mira." She quietly added, "But you don't trust me... I am not sure if I trust myself at this point." She quickly fixed her wound, feeling a little light headed from blood loss. "I would like you not to mention this episode in front of the others. I wouldn't them worring about me."

Mira nodded. "As you wish," she said. "This never happened." Mira winked, disappeared, and Shiro's katana clattered to the floor.
Despite having vanished, Mira was still there, just invisible.

Shiro picked up the katana and held still for a momment. She cut her paw slightly before sheathing the sword and held her paw out, the blood dripping to the ground. She was completely unaware of Mira's presence. "I apologise, for all I've done. So drop for drop, ounce for ounce, I will repay you all." She wrapped her wound and sat there, watching the moon as it rose and the world grew dark, the sky turning the brilliant specrtum of colors.

Nat walked through Lacina Forest, something she hadn't done since before Koatia had found her. She wondered where Kiba was.
Just as she was thinking that, she saw his mirror twin, Shiro. Nat trotted over to the wolf. "Hi," she said quietly.

Shiro put on a happy smile, but she still felt the same. Just as upset, just as lost, and just as guilty. "Hey Nat! Been a while since I saw you. What are you up to?"

Nat shrugged. "Not much," she replied. Her russet fur shook as breeze rushed past.
"Where's your brother?" asked Nat, looking about. "Usually, you're not really seen very far apart."

She looked down, her mood dropping significantly. She was still covored in blood from both herself and Seirei, so why isn't she saying anything? Anything at all the change the topic from Kiba. "He is sick. He should be better in two days or so."

"Oh," said Nat, her ears drooping. "Is it contagious?" she asked, wondering if she could go see him.
She still felt that guilt of removing Koatia's chains that had been so carefully crafted by her boyfriend, but she stamped down on it once again.

"No. It happens once a year for him. I wouldn't see him if I were you." She said.

"Oh," she said again, her ears drooping further down. Nat sensed that it wasn't really the best topic to talk about.
She looked Shiro up and down. "Why are you covered in blood?"
