Kiba sighed a bit, laying in the long golden grass that the plains supported. Each long slender blade blowing gently in the cool wind, moonlight catching off them as they swayed with the gass around them. The moon hung low in the sky, a deep red color, and seemed to be closer tonight then other nights. There was relative quiet out here, only the sounds of crickets and small wildlife.
Kiba was laying on his back, his sword laying on the ground a few feet away, within easy reach. Kiba laid still though, on his back, looking up a tthe moon, a facial expression on calm and peace easily read on his face. He smiles contently, just watching the moon that causes his heart to flutter a bit when he sees it, that can cause such peace of mind for the fairly young wolf by only hanging so beatifully in the sky.
He rested for a long time, resisting the urge to howl in song to the moon. Even with such a calm night, it was hardly a time to be joyful, not in the state Tialka has fallen to. It technically wasn't even safe for him to be alone out here, by himself. and it is for that reason he denied himself a wolven song, barely content to gaze on the blood red moon that happened so very rarely on the world he came from.
(OOC - Sorry for starting a new thread ... I figured a nice peaceful place might be a good enough place to start getting back in the swing of things)

Tersias was walking across the plains with Sai and Kai. The two young boys had been learning about hunting from their father, and after taking their mother out for a demonstration had begged to be allowed to stay out just a little longer - and of course, Tersias had relented. After all, what harm would come to them when they were all together?
"Mum, when will be able to go out on our own?" Sai asked, looking up at his mother solemnly. Since Kurai had shown up right under their noses, Seirei and Tersias had become very protective of their cubs, not allowing them out of the den at night, and insisting they stay together in the day. "Is Tialka not safe any more?"
Tersias looked sadly at her son and licked his nose gently. "Nowhere can be safe all the time, sweetheart. So while our enemies are a danger we just have to be extra careful." her tone was reassuring, but she was secretly very scared. She still didn't understand exactly what was going on, but she knew that things were getting more dangerous in Tialka by the day.
Spotting a figure in the grass, she stopped walking, putting an arm out to stop the two boys as well. "Who's there?" she called out.

Kiba sat up a bit, grabbing his katana out of instinct at the sudden sound. He stood and faced the sound, the area darkening around him. It didn't take but a few momments for him to see Tersias and the cubs with her. He let his power go, the dark fading to the regular pink/red-tinted light from the moon. "Oh, hello over there!" He called out in return, offering a small wave and a smile, keeping a calm demeanor, though his heart was settling back into a normal beat after the scare.
He didn't move from his spot however, not wanting to disturb Tersias and the pups from doing whatever they came out here to do. However he waited several momments before he would lay back down, in the event that any of them wanted to speak to him further, or call him over. Though he spent this time looking up at the moon, once more captivated by it's presence.

"Kiba! Dear friend, it is good to see you" Tersias grinned, approaching the wolf and embracing him tightly. "I haven't seen you around recently, has everything been ok? How is Shiro?"
The two boys hung back a little awkwardly, not wanting to disturb their mother's conversation.
"Sai, Kai, come say hello to Mister Kiba" she smiled, pulling the two boys over. The pups came over and smiled at Kiba. "Hello Mister Kiba!" Kai beamed, looking up at him.

Kiba chuckles and returned the hug in a friendly manner, smiling a bit as he got a look at the two pups. "My, how you two have grown to be such big handsome pups. Any more time and you'll bigger then me won't you two?" He said with an honest smile, looking back to Tersias. "And yes, I suppose it has been far too long. But I'll just have to fix that by stopping by now and again huh?" He kept his smile throughout the whole thing, finishing with, "Shiro should be back home, though she of course comes and goes as she wants, so it's hard to say for sure."

Kai grinned "I'm gonna be taller than you and my daddy, Mister Kiba. My daddy says so!" His tone was eager, not unlike how Tersias had been as a child.
Tersias chuckled a little "If your father says so, then maybe you will. You're already getting to be bigger than your Aunty Seema and I, after all."

Kiba smiled and stood up a bit, tightening the grip on his sword, which he slipped back into his belt under his cloak. "I have no doubts either. If you really want to grow big, then you will, with some effort. You have to try after all." He chuckled softly and looked back over to Tersias. "So, may I ask why you three are out here by yourselves?" he asked with a bit of a quizzical expression.
