Seema woke up to the sound of birdsong. She smiled, getting out of bed and heading to the window. The sky was blue, the sun shining and the air still. The weather looked perfect fo a day on the beach, but Seema had other plans. Today was to be a day with a purpose.
Heading towards a large cupboard built into her bedroom, Seema looked out a scarf - blue rather than her normal green. She also fetched out a large sheaf of papers from the cupboard, which she took through to the lounge and spread across the floor.
On the papers were a variety of plans and designs for pieces of furniture and rooms. Seema finally had her unwanted house guest out from under her feet and now was the time for a fresh start.

Kiryu quickly looked at his reflection within a puddle, licking his paw and running through his hair in a vain attempt to flatten a small tuft sticking out. He knocked on the door, 3 quick rasps. Today you are here on business, act professional he reminded himself.
The windows upstairs were open, leaping into the air and flapping his wing. He landed on the windowsill, looking at the progress made since he had last visited. "May I come in?" He asked, smiling widely.

Seema grinned "Of course you can, Kiryu" she laughed, "But the front door would have worked just as well, honest!"
She looked through the plans, pulling out a particular design. It was a sketch of a small sofa, with a wooden frame and square blue cushions. She looked up at Kiryu "I wondered if you'd be any help with this? I can sort the upholstery of course, but the woodwork..." she shrugged "I know nothing about that side of it" she laughed.

Kiryu stepped in through the window, his wing scraping along the window. "I did not wish to trouble you with the walk." He said, before grabbing her, lifting her in his arms and squeezing her gently. And they call me Mister Professional
"Thats the reason I'm here!" He stated enthusiastically, proud of his woodworking talents. "I've brought some samples" he said, laying 4 out on the floor. "I definitely had 5" he looked around confused, searching for the final sample. He walked over to Seema, slipping it behind her ear with his wing. "Oh yeah, I had you look after it!" he took it from behind her ear and ruffled her hair slightly.
The 5 samples lay spread in an arc, all plentiful sources found around his home in Isel Falls; Beech, Mahogany, Maple, Willow and Cherry. Each had their own unique properties, markings and colouring. "Pick the one you like most and I will build the frame with it." The warm sunshine toasting his back, as he copied Seema's infectious smile.

Seema smiled at Kiryu "You daft thing, coming down the stairs to meet you would've been no hassle at all." She grinned, and went over to Kiryu and embraced him, nuzzling her nose against his neck and blushing a little. "Thanks for coming, I really appreciate it."
Greetings dealt with, she turned to the matter at hand. She picked up the samples one by one, not just looking at their colour but feeling the texture of the wood and knocking it against the floor to test its strength. Finally she went through to the cupboards and fetched out a large bundle of blue linen, with which she would make the cushions, and compared them to the colour of the samples. Having deliberated thoroughly, she nodded, and handed Kiryu the Beech sample "This one will be perfect." she smiled, gathering up the other samples and putting them to one side. "I hope this isn't too much hassle, Kiryu, I don't want to be a bother."

Kiryu smiled, the Beech would be a fine choice. It was a versatility lay in the fact it was easy to work with, allowing him to carve and shape the wood. It also went nicely with the blue linen, he assumed would later become the pillows.
"I think I have enough in my stockpiles." He flashed her a cheeky smile, his eyes blazing. "It will be my pleasure, can't let you stay without furniture can I? What would Tersias think!" He stated dramatically throwing her a melodramatic wink.

Seema laughed a little, "Tersias can think what she likes, I've thought badly of her decisions plenty of times after all." She looked a little rueful, she had probably been a little too interfering in the past with Tersias, but hopefully they were past that now. "But seriously, thank you Kiryu, I really appreciate this."

A deep red blossomed in his cheeks; Kiryu looked at the ground bashfully. “It’s nothing…” he stammered “Don’t worry about it.” A coy smile curling across his muzzle as he considered whether he had the materials required to build Seema’s furniture.
“Could I borrow those plans?” He asked, baring his smile at her. “If I carve the wood at Isel I can assemble the sofa here, it will be easier to transport that way.” He did not fancy the idea of dragging a tree trunk all the way to Lacina.
“If I depart now and work throughout the day, I can return with the wood for your sofa as early as tomorrow” with a sly wink concluding his speech. “Does that sound good to you?”
