First things first...
Role Play Tips!!
1. Write in sentences, using grammar properly and use spell check if your spelling is a bit off.
2. Write no less than 3 sentences! Spam is evil! Remember - quality over quantity!
I have seen too many posts where a person has written one sentence and nothing else. The number of posts you clock up does not make your status any higher, or better than anybody else, it is the quality of your writing which will benefit the forum, not how many posts there are. Pages and pages of short posts also make it hard for those who have been offline for a while to catch up. So please bear that in mind!
3. Stuck for ideas?
If you cannot think of anything to write, try reading what the people have put before you. Perhaps you will get more inspiration by feeding off what they have said, or by reacting to their actions. It will help the role play to be more fluent.
4. Include other characters.
If a thread started off with a group of characters, try and include more than one of them in your posts. If you just focus on one character, then the thread will end up being a bit boring and the other RPers would feel left out as they cannot respond. Even if that RPer is offline, don't forget them entirely!
5. Feel left out?
Feel as if you cannot make in input in a thread, because you've been away a while, or don't know how you can fit your character in?
... Hey! Why not start a new thread of your own? ;D
6. Be creative!
If you think the thread is running out of juice, spice things up a bit by introducing ideas of your own to give the plot a bit of a twist. If there is a page of dull conversation, you could write that something suddenly happened. Don't be afraid to add some action!
I hope this has given you a head start in how to Role Play well.

Tutorial One: Inserting An Image
To insert in image, you must look at the buttons above the box where you type your message. These include the Bold button, Italic button, Underline Button, etc.
In the second row, there is a button that look like a photo frame.
Click this button (as shown below).
Then the img brackets will pop up.
Now, in between these you must copy and paste the URL or Direct Link of the image.
This can be found if you upload your image to an image hosting site such as Photobucket or DeviantArt.
The URL of an image is not the website address!!
In photobucket the direct link is below the image for you but in DeviantArt, or on any other site, you would have to right click on the image and go to Properties.
You do not need the part of the URL after the .png or .jpeg bit
Copy and paste the URL in between the img brackets.
And Hey Presto! Your image should show up on your post!
If not, you have obviously not put the right thing in between the img brackets.
Hope this has been helpful to those who were unsure on how to do this ;D

Tutorial Two: Inserting A Video
Short little demo on how to post a vid from Youtube.
Above the box where you write your message, there is a little button that says "Tube".
Click this button and youtube brackets should appear.
In between these brackets you need to copy and paste the URL of the video you wish to post.
This is basically the address bar of the page.
Paste this in between the youtube brackets and your video will show up on your post

Tutorial Three: Personal Avatar
This tutorial was a request so I hope it will be some help
Ok, first thing you need to know is...
AVATARS ARE SMALL
The forum size for avatars is 100 by 100 pixels. If you use an image that is any bigger, the forum will automatically shrink it anyway,
making your image look warped, so it's best to make your image smaller first.
So, to change your avatar, you need to go to your Profile and then click on Modify Profile.
There you will see a box where it tells you to enter the URL of your avatar. Tutorial one tells you where to find the url of your image.
However in this case you do not need any img brackets. Just copy and paste the url straight to the box.
Example shown below...
Once you have copy and pasted the url of your image, and saved the changes, the avatar should now be your chosen image. If your avatar doesn't show up, you must have misentered the url or moved the image on your image hosting site.

Tutorial Four: Signatures
For your signature, you can either type a signature phrase, or you can insert an image!
This tutorial will tell you how to make your image visible as your signature.
Ok, so similar to modifying your avatar, you need to go to your Profile then Modify Profile.
Scroll down the page until you get to the box for your signature. Here, you can either type something in, or insert your image.
As you can see from the example above you need to insert the URL of your sig in between the IMG brackets.
This can also be the IMG code for the image.
Once you have saved the changes, your signature should now show up ^_^. Have fun creating your individual sigs!
Tutorial Five: Hyperlinking
This tutorial will show you how to hyperlink a word, so that you don't just copy and paste a link, making your post look proffessional!
Ok so what you do is click on the little button that looks like the Earth, and the URL brackets will pop up.
<-the button
Follow this example:
[ u r l = U R L l i n k h e r e ] This is a word [ / u r l ]
If you place the URL link in the right place then hey presto the word between the brackets is now hyperlinked!
I hope this was of some help to you!
