The voice was just a whisper...just an echo in the vastness of space. Oan heard it and soared through nothingness to its source. He saw a planet ahead of him covered in lush green forests, open areas of grassland, cold polar regions and sandy shorelines. Soaring fast he flew low to the meadow floor his wings brushing on the tips of the grass. He turned upwards spiralling and saw the forest ahead, levelling out he headed towards it. This was his comfort zone. Tall trees, lush and green with foliage, ahead Oan saw a small clearing, feeling tired from the long flight and hungry from days without food, he landed. Attachments:

Hiruko was taking an afternoon stroll when he felt the presence of a new arrival. It seemed different to many of the arrivals and he was soon at the site where the new arrival had landed. It was a hawk with a plumage of wonderful feathers. He looked tired but Hiruko wanted to greet him to his world as it was only polite to present his hospitality.
"Hello there," Hiruko said to the bird. "Are you okay? My name is Hiruko and this is Tialka. Do you need anything? Is there anything I can help you with?"

Oan stared curiously at the creature before him.
'Pretty big for a rat aren't you?' Strutting around the clearing Oan never broke eye contact with this new presence.
'My name is Oan Skyhawk, I was travelling through the universe when I heard a call...almost a whisper, I followed it here, as for helping me, I'm almost dead on my feet and very hungry'
He switched directions allowing him to show off the prominent scar on his face, it's been a conversation starter in the past...and led to more then a few fights.

Laughing slightly at the newcomer's presumptions, Hiruko politely corrected him. "I'm a Torakan, not a rat. But I assume you've never seen or heard of my kind."
Listening to the hawk's introduction, Hiruko bowed with a hand across his chest, a symbol of greeting where he came from. "Welcome Oan Skyhawk. If you are hungry, we have plenty of food to hunt and fruit and berries on the trees."
As the hawk turned the other way, Hiruko caught a glance of Oan's scar. "It looks like you have come from a rough place," he said, referring to the scar. "Then it's lucky you have found Tialka, a refuge for those who wish to live in peace and harmony."

Still circling the Torakan, Oan thought about what he was just told.
He came from a world ruined by war between species, he had traveled the universe stopping off at many worlds along the way and still found only war and despair, maybe this world would be different.
'I've come far to find a place like this, I've fought many battles. Won some of them, lost others...maybe some peace and harmony would be good for me...for now'

Hiruko really felt sorry for the poor bird. He had not grown up in a world that was full of war and conflict but he had grown up with a jealous brother, seething with envy and hatred.
"Well, I hope one day you can come to call this place home," Hiruko said, softly. "Now can I get you something to eat? For a start, what do you eat?" Since he had never come across the avian type, he had no clue what they ate. "If you could give me an idea of you used to eat on your home planet, that might be helpful."

'Mice, rats, fish and berries are my normal diet' Oan answered.
As he spoke memories of better times passed through his mind, hunting with his family and competitions for the best catch.
'Are there any areas in this world I can find these?. Also...I would like to stay and make a home here if that is possible' He decided that some peace might help his anger and maybe this tiger, this world held the key to that.

"You're in luck then!" Hiruko told him. "We have plenty of each of those things, except rats...I don't usually see many of them around here. Mice are generally hidden in the banks of Lacina Lake and in the bushes within this forest. There is plenty of freshwater fish at Lacina Lake too. Or if you prefer salt water fish, you could try by the coast. Coral bay is always a good place to fish. As for the berries, well, there are bushes all around us with berries. Though, if you come across some dark blue berries in the thorny bushes, don't eat them. They'll give you a stomach ache for days. They're only found on Okela Island generally though."
After his long ramblings, Hiruko realised he had probably said enough and hoped he had helped Oan out just a bit. Luckily, Oan could fly so it would take him a lot less longer getting used to Tialka if he flew high enough to see the spread of the land.

'Thank you for the advice and the welcome to your world, I'll take my leave now and fly to these places, get the lay of the land as it were' Oan bowed his head to the mighty tiger.
Gearing up for flight Oan raised his head and beat his wings, lifting off from the ground he spiralled upwards the fresh, clean air clearing his head. He hovered and considered where to go now.
