Hayashi was recovering significantly over the past few days which he could finally go out by himself. That was a relief to him because he felt awkward in the den of Hiruko and Mira, two of the many residents of Tialka and with them looking after the newborn cubs, Hayashi felt like a burden. This morning he promised himself a look about and had found the stone table along with its contents: the crystals. He didn't fully understand them since he hadn't let himself understand. Before, he had been too occupied with destroying Hiruko's life and claim Mira for his own. There was something about her he felt drawn to but at the same time, he could barely look at her let alone talk properly with her. There was just an air of awkwardness whenever they faced each other. He knew he had been an idiot in the past but it was justified for doing Koatia's dark work; now he had no excuses.
He had only been to Skalakruh once before but that was to steal the crystals of Seirei's cubs. Before, he hadn't appreciated the crystals since he was only stealing them but now, Hayashi couldn't help but notice the beautiful patterns etched into each one and the shapes they symbolised.

Nat was on one of her walks around Tialka, wanting to see something other than sand for a time. It was cooler here than in the desert, but it was still warm.
In the distance, she saw a figure much like Hiruko's, so she approached. When she got to the stone circle, she realised it wasn't him, and recognised him from one of the pictures Kiba had given her when she had arrived.
Though as she looked at him, he didn't seem evil. Deciding to give him a chance, she spoke. "Hello."

Seeing the canine heading towards him, Hayashi was startled. He didn't expect anyone to be around. "Er, hello," he replied nervously after she had spoken. He could see the judgement in her eyes, but he didn't know her. Maybe she had heard of him. "My name's Hayashi, I don't believe we have met."
It had been a while since Hayashi had used manners as well as this. Although it wasn't hard, it certainly felt strange. Living a life in darkness had certainly changed him but he was certain he could change it back. "What is this place?" he asked her, unsure if she even knew.

"I'm Nat," she replied, stopping near him. She studied him a little - he didn't seem evil. Maybe he'd changed.
She looked around at the stone circle and the podium in the centre, the crystals sitting happily in their places. "I'm not entirely sure, but from what I know, each crystal belongs to a member of Tialka."
Nat pointed at the blue one on the podium. "That one's Mira's," she said. "The green one is Hiruko's, and the dark blue one is Seirei's." Turning around, she pointed at the pink one. "That's Tersias', Seirei's mate." Lastly, she pointed at the black and white veined one. "That's Kiba and Shiro's one. Though I'm not sure why they're sharing one..."

"Nice to meet you, Nat," Hayashi said in polite a way as possible. Haven't spoken like that in a while... he thought to himself. It was weird how he had learnt to live without the manners he was brought up to show, yet they had easily come back to him despite it feeling a little odd. Looking at the stone table whilst Nat explained, Hayashi felt a deep sense of connection between this place and Tialka. It was a lot more complex than he could have imagined. "I see..." he said listening intentively. He picked Hiruko's up which had a leathery chain that held it like it was a necklace. He had remembered Hiruko wearing this before but it had been returned back to its slot with the others. "I wonder why everyone has a crystal," Hayashi said thoughtfully. "Will I get a crystal? Probably not actually..." He went silent for a moment, reflecting over the bad deeds he had comitted and finally realising that nothing he could do would change what he had done to them. "Do you have a crystal?" he asked before the silence became tense.

Nat shook her head. "I don't have one either," she replied. "I'm not sure when or if I'll get one, but we shall see."
She paused before speaking again. "Why do you think you won't get a crystal?" she asked, looking at him. She wasn't afraid or accusing, just curious.

Hayashi fell silent for he didn't want to leave a bad impression on her but soon thought better of it. After all, it was time for him to live an honest life.
"I have..." he spoke nervously, unsure of whether he was going to scare Nat away or make her despise him. "...done things to...members of the tribe that are hurtful and I was once considered an enemy in their eyes. Jealousy, greed and power overwhelmed me, I was blind to the wonders right in front of me. But even now that I have changed my ways, will the world forgive my past actions? I just don't feel I belong..." Hayashi stopped for a moment as he felt silly to spill out his thoughts to this stranger. "I am sorry. I guess I haven't really spoken to anyone about it, and it's difficult to speak to my brother about such things."
He stared at the floor for a moment, examining his feet for a while unintentionally. Sighing he lifted his gaze to Nat. "So, how long have you lived here?" he asked politely.

Nat watched him as he talked spoke about his reasons. She thought about her answer when he paused, but he spoke again before she could say it.
"Um," she said, quickly thinking about her new reply, "I don't actually know. It's been a while, that's probably all I can say, but I plan to stay a lot longer."
She gave him a small smile. "I think that if those you hurt can forgive you, Tialka can forgive you. From what I've seen here, the land is tied very closely with the Founders. If they forgive you, you will have the opportunity to belong."
