The moonlight shone off the banks of the lake, a light breeze caressing the treetops. The dense foliage created shadows that marbled the floor.
Deep within this darkness a black wing surrounds something, the wing slowly spins out revealing a noticeable character. Larger than those around him Kiryu carefully moves into unfamiliar territory limping slightly, a shot of moonlight reflects off the water onto the foxes silver coat. This again reflects briefly illuminating the area. The fox sniffs the water cautiously and lies down fatigued.

Enjoying the night time sky, Hiruko was suddenly disturbed by an unexpected appearance. Not far from his favourite tree, a small silver fox had appeared. Hiruko looked confused. The fox was limping and it had one large black wing. It was a very unexpected arrival, especially since there had been no one new to the tribe in months.
Hiruko leapt from the tree and landed in the grass where he then dashed to greet the poor fox. "Excuse me," Hiruko asked politely. "I don't suppose you need any help, do you?"

The fox has brushed his wing over his coat to hide himself, unsurprisingly his silver fur had given him away. The fox blew his hair out of his face and grimaced slightly, with his head on the floor he could make out a silhouette of what appeared to be two feet and a tail.
In anticipation of an assault the fox quickly lifted his tail into the air as an act of intimidation and lifted his body from the floor. Exhausted the fox could manage very little before his collapse muttering something about being faster and not getting hit next time.

Sensing that the fox was wary of him, Hiruko knelt beside him and placed a paw on his shoulder. "It's okay," he said, comforting. "I'm not an enemy. I'm a friend. This is the planet I founded and live on with my fellow tribe members. Are you hurt? What happened?"

Unsure the fox shook his shoulder in an attempt to dislodge the paw, the fox sat up slightly. Dipping his tail into the lake the fox moved the water over it's silver fur cleaning the matted blood out of it's coat while glancing at Hiruko with a determination.
"How did I get here....?" the fox pondered before muttering "I shouldn't be here" looking at the world around him the fox recentred on Hiruko before answering "I got hit.... I never get hit.... much"

The small fox look slightly disorientated. "...I don't know how you got here," Hiruko said softly. "Anyone is welcome to this world provided that they do not cause harm but it seems you didn't have any intentions of being here." Hiruko looked thoughtful.
"What is your name?" he asked with curiosity. "And who hit you?"

The fox blinked heavily "no one, where am I?" he demanded insolently. The fox looked around carefully wondering how many others would be hiding and where amongst the shadows they would be.
A gash on the foxes back was now visible and blood trickled down the foxes leg staining the tufts above his front left paw. Feeling a little drowsy the fox shook uneasily.

Hiruko was taken aback by the fox's sterness. "You are on Tialka, the land of the three founders: Seirei, Mira and me, Hiruko," he explained. "We live in a land of peace and prosperity and we will forever fight to keep it from being corrupted from evil." Hiruko put a clenched paw over his heart as a sign of courage and respect. However, something told him the fox was still wary of him. "Let me fetch you some herbs for you wound," he said, spotting the trickle of blood down the fox's leg.
Hiruko ran towards his tree den nearby as it was very close to the fox's location. He opened the door where Mira was sleeping peacefully in their bed and Mylar was encased in a beautiful sapphire crystal. Carefully, he tiptoed quietly to a table and opened a drawer. His stealth allowed him to sneak by without a peep from the other two. He collected a bunch of dried sprigs of the healing herbs and also carried his pestle and mortar with him as he didn't want to wake the others. Padding softly on the wooden floor, he tiptoed quietly back out and shut the door softly behind him. He then raced back to the injured fox with blinding speed that he had been gifted with. In an instant, he was back by his side and began crushing the herbs into a greenish paste. "So..." he said, breaking the silence. "I know you don't trust me much right now, but you aren't just 'no one'. You surely have a name? A name wouldn't hurt to tell."

"Kiryu" for now you can refer to me as Kiryu the fox said, pausing briefly the fox looked at Hiruko, "your quick, not as quick as me.." the fox chuckled coughing slightly. "i've definitely been in worse places, I could get used to a unique colour palette" he said whilst staring out over the water.

"Okay Kiryu," Hiruko said smiling, he was glad he could at least catch the fox's name. "Well, that may be so. But I am not going to compete with you, after all, there are skills equal to speed." Hiruko was pleased that he considered Tialka a pleasant place and hopefully, he would settle nicely into the home they all shared.

Kiryu smiled confident he was just faster than Hiruko noting that on two feet there would be no way he could outmatch him. "So wheres the party at, or am I the only other person here" the fox grimaced again. He looked around carefully. "Is there anyway here I can hang my hat, let these wounds heal?"
Kiryu was feeling uneasy and wasn't sure if this would be the last of his former troubles or just the blood loss getting to him.

Politely brushing off the cocky comment as Hiruko had a patient mind, he thought for a moment about the others. "There are many of us here," he answered. "But they're probably at their dens. Here, I'll show you to mine." Then he remembered Mira and how she hadn't been feeling well as of late. But I can't leave Kiryu all by himself, especially whilst he's injured Hiruko thought. I'm sure Mira will be fine with him staying in the den with us, even if it is until he adjusts to this world. "Follow me," Hiruko said, gesturing for the fox to walk with him. He kept at a slow pace for him as he knew he was injured, despite his apparent gift of speed.

The fox began to follow, "I'll stay just outside, the cold air is a pleasant change" I just want a nice sheltered spot where I can recover "Preferably somewhere up high I can just make it up high" Kiryu matched the Hiruko's slow pace whilst limping. "I'm not one to intrude..."

"Are you sure?" Hiruko asked. "I really don't mind. Mira, my mate is in the den along with Mylar, a creature we awoken from hibernation but that doesn't mean there isn't any room. But if you would prefer to stay outside, you are welcome to stay on the branches atop my den." They shortly arrived at his den even with the slow pace. Hiruko waited for Kiryu's choice.

Kiryu leapt into the tree tops at an amazing speed, darting from branch to branch. The fox looked down yelling out "It's nothing against you, I appreciate the hospitality yet I like this night's cold." The fox looked away "It's been a long time" he whispered. Shouting again Kiryu ended the night with "I will remain here until you return, I do not wish to disturb those in the den."
The fox lay down covering his silver fur with his tail and wing using them as a blanket, this kept the fox warm but also hid him amongst the treetops.

Hiruko watched as the small fox darted to the branches of his den. "That's fine," he shouted up to him. "But if you need anything or have any questions at all, I'll be right here in the den. Don't hesistate to knock." He was slightly concerned for Kiryu because he was still injured but not many could climb his tree and if they did, he would know about it.
