"I'd like to stay if you don't mind," Hiruko replied. "I'd like to get to know you a bit better. So you're Kiba's sister? I guess you know him more than anyone else would. So what brought you two to Tialka in the first place?"

Shiro smiled and motioned to a chair. "I am his twin to be more precise. Though our colors are reversed as you may have noticed. As for why we are here, Kiba likes to travel and I don't really remember to tell you the thruth. All I remember is that we were at our birthday party and next thing I know, I am here in the woods. Kiba said something about memory loss and wouldn't say anything else."

"Ah I see," Hiruko said looking interested. "It seems a shame that Kiba must be cursed by such a horrible transformation. Just out of interest, does the same happen to you? Or is it just Kiba?"

"I have never turned, but who knows? Kiba is a once in a year thing, maybe mine is just longer and I haven't hit it yet. But this is all just speculation. As far as I can remember, I have not." She tried explaining.

"Well if you get any funny feelings, let one us know," Hiruko chuckled. "I hope Tersias and the pups are okay. Seirei must be exhausted from the excitement and anxiety."

"Oh I never had a chance to ask, Kinda busy with Kiba at the momment. So how are the pups? What do they look like? How many of them are there?" She asked excitedly, easily getting carried away by the thought of some cute little pups.

Seirei had been walking along the cliffside, minding his own business when he froze. His ear twitched as it always did when he sensed something wasn't quite right in the world. It was particularly strong this time, as it concerned a fellow wolf. He knew something must be up with Kiba, it was the only explanation. He hurried to his place, thinking that he might be able to find him there. As he entered the house in the cliff, he saw Hiruko and Shiro talking.
"Hey, guys. I was wondering if you two had seen Kiba anywhere?"

Shiro looked down. "Down the stairs through the door. Don't open it." Was all she said.

Seirei was a bit taken aback by the response. "I thought I sensed something was amiss, but by the looks of your faces it appears to be worse. What exactly is happening?"

"It's Kiba's time of the year, Seeing as they didn't know, you probably don't either." She stood up and walked toward the stairs. "It would probably be best if you see him before I explain. It will help clarify what I am talking about." She turned and walked down the stairs, not waiting for him to follow.

Seirei was slightly perplexed but he followed Shiro down the stairs anyway. He wondered what it could be if Kiba had to be kept behind a closed door. Surely he couldn't be dangerous?

She lifted the heavy latch that kept te door locked and stepped inside the dimly lit room. As soon as they entered, that growl started again. It sent shivers down her spine and stepped aside to let Seirei see the two cold blue eyes staring from the darkness. Kiba jumped out at them, snarling, but hit the end of the chain and fell backward onto his back. He quickly stood and pulled on his chain, trying to reach them. "This is Kiba." Shiro said sadly.

Seirei flinched as he saw Kiba being yanked back so violently by that chain around his neck. It was terrible to see his friend like this. "So...once a year...he goes like this?" Seirei's voice was shaking a little.

"Yes. I can't explain it myself, but I have concluded with Hiruko's help, that Kiba supresses all evil all the time in him. So it condenses until this happens. He looses everthing he has, his mind, his sanity, his control, everything. He change if you hadn't noticed. His eyes are blue, his fur is ragged, he acts like a feral animal. The first time was a little before his first birthday, a lot of people died. After that, every year we took to chaining him up and keeping him under lock and key. It only lasts a week or so, so for that we could be glad."

Seirei nodded but turned around so he didn't have to look into those blue eyes. "I understand now. I guess it has to come out sometime or he would explode with all that trapped emotion inside. I know it is best to keep him restrained so that eh does not hurt others, but I wish there was another way. I hate to have to walk away from him, to leave him all alone..."
Seirei hesitated but shook his head and walked back upstairs to where Hiruko was.

Shiro followed silently, sliding the latch back into place. "He isn't himself and he won't remember what happened, so don't worry about it much."

"Still, I wish there was a way we could ease it for him in the mean time. I know he has to be tied back at all times, but we could at least make his room more comfortable?" Seirei, although he had been through much war in his lifetime, still did not like using harsh methods if they could be avoided. "But I guess the lost memory is a good thing after what he has to go through..."
Seirei settled himself down on the floor and absent mindedly knawed at a matted feather.

Shiro stared at Seirei. She spoke saying, "Seirei, I am not sure if you understand. That is his body yes, but he is no longer there. In his stead is a blood-thirsty beast. As much as I hate to admit it, as of right now, he is not my brother." She said coldly, if slightly sadly.
