Seirei walked out leisurely into the wide open grassy plains of the west, Sai sitting happily on his back, his little head tilted back to gaze with his innocent eyes up at the clear blue sky, tongue slightly dangling out of his mouth. Being the only one of Seirei's pups to have been born with wings, his father had decided to help Sai develop his flying skills, as the little pup had barely been able to leave their den on foot without his mother running after him, let alone through the air.
Once Seirei was satisfied with his position, he picked up Sai by the fur on his neck and settled him down onto the grass. Naturally, when the cool breeze blew, the pup couldn't resist playing with his father's fur, moving gently in the motion of the wind. The larger of the identical pair cleared his throat, making the pup stop playing and sit still obediently. "Sai, daddy's going to teach you how to use your wings safely toda- eh? Sai!" he yelled as the pup had vanished from his spot and was ten good metres away, playing with his tail.
"Damn, i'm gonna need some extra paws here, " Seirei muttered.

Mira had been wandering, invisible, when she heard a familiar voice in the wind: "Eh? Sai!" She looked about her, and saw little Sai playing with his tail close by, and his father about ten metres away. Chuckling quietly, Mira picked up the pup in her mouth, startling the miniature version of Seirei, who looked around desperately for the invisible culprit. When she reached her friend, she resumed visibility. Putting Sai on the ground, she said, "I believe this belongs to you."

Tersias wandered over, three cubs strapped under her belly in a sling and one in her mouth. "Hey, I'm not disturbing am i?" she smiled.

Mira smiled at her friend. "As far as I know you're not," she said, then greeted the cubs. "Hey, everyone." She laughed to see that Kai was in Tersias' mouth. "Decided not to chance him escaping the sling, did we?"

Seirei smiled at Mira's slightly strange sense of humour, but was grateful none the less, and placed his paw on Sai's tail so he couldn't run off again. How he was going to train one of the troublesome duo was beyond him.
He looked up quickly when he heard Tersias' voice in the distance. "Uh oh..." he murmured; he was going to get his head bitten off when he got home.
"Hey honey." He licked her on the nose in greeting as she drew closer. "Thought Sai would be old enough to give his wings a try, but he doesn't seem to be interested." Seirei sighed in resignation.

She laughed "Seirei, he's still just a baby. Give him time to grow up a lil"

"I don't see any reason why he can't be taught to fly now," said Mira, chuckling at the sight of Sai trying to scamper away from his father's paw so that he could play with his siblings. "But it's not up to me, I'm not his parents," she said, smiling at Tersias. "How's the whole mothering thing going? I'm sorry for not having visited more often."
