Mira looked at Shiro, confused. "How so?" she asked, not sure what the wolf was getting at.

She eeps and then laughs nerviously. "I mean, as much time as I love to spend with you, telling stories doesn't really how I wish to spend my time up here, kind of chilly as it is... I hope I am not sending the wrong message or anything." She looked down, ears flat against her head, hoping that she wasn't coming off wrong.

Mira giggled. "It's fine, Shiro," she said. "Would it better for you if we went somewhere warmer? I honestly don't mind and I won't be offended if you do."

Shiro nods. "Whatever you want Mira. It is a bit chilly. Not quite used to these temperatures. Where would you prefer we continue this talk?" She asked.

"Wherever you are comfortable," replied Mira. She honestly didn't mind - it was winter outside, so the air was cooler, making Mira comfortable wherever she went. "You can choose."

Shiro nodded quickly, shifting a bit as she thought of a few places, eventually deciding on one. She closed her eyes for a second or two and held still, picturing the place. She held out her paw to Mira, keeping the image as smooth as possible to make the jump from here to there precise and smooth.

Mira took the paw that Shiro was holding out to her, gripping on tightly but not so much that it would hurt. Mira closed her eyes, not sure where they were going, and braced herself for the transition. She waited.

The transition was smooth and nearly seamless, if fast. The smooth and hard floor turning into dry leaves and fresh grass, the sound of wind outside the cave fading as the sound of birds and rustling leaves grew louder. A squirrel ran away, chittering at their sudden arrival. Shiro smiled and let go of Mira's paw, sinking against an old tree, dropping her warmer clothes, the tree had many shallow claw marks heading up and around in various directions. "Welcome to my little haven Mira. I love to come here and relax, to be alone and think."

Mira opened her eyes to see Shiro's 'haven'. "It's so quaint," said Mira, looking around her. The evergreen trees' branches were growing so closely together, forming a natural ceiling above them and blocking the light snow that had blanketed Tialka during the winter weeks. Mira guessed that Shiro must have trusted her a lot to show this place to her, considering she loves coming alone.
Kiba probably knows about it, thought Mira, but then again, they almost always know where the other is.

Shiro smiled faintly. "Quaint? I prefer simplistic I suppose. To lay out in the open, under the fairly open sky, exposed to nature, letting the night breezes of pines and flowers drift through you until you pass into an easy rest. THAT is why I come out here, the quiet and the freedom. It's rather nice and needed sometimes."

"I can see why," said Mira, lying down near Shiro. It was so peaceful in that little clearing, such a vast change from listening to the harsh and cold winds that Mira so often experienced. The grass under her paws was a welcome sensation and she hoped that spring during the next year would be just as green.

Shiro nodded and gave a relaxed sigh. "Sometimes I feel that it is perhaps a little too quiet..." She thought that she could never really live alone after everything that she had experienced here. A dark thought occured to her and it showed on her face, as well with a little shiver, though she quickly tried to play it off.

"Shiro, don't try and hide your emotions," said Mira carefully, her tone friendly and not scolding. "What is it that's bothering you? You know you can tell me." She smiled slightly, getting up and walking closer to Shiro as she spoke.

Shiro sighed and tried to control her tone. "I don't want to keep bringing this up... But... If I ever do anything... The worst possible punishment would be isolation, or banishment... I just.. Don't ever want to be alone. Especially not after everyone has been so nice to me here.". She looked down and away from Mira, more than a little ashamed at her words.
