Mira smiled. "Don't mind her, Nocte," she said quietly to the panther so that Nat couldn't hear. "She's always like this with new people. You should have seen her when she first got here," she almost laughed, amused by how Nat had warmed up to everyone since her heated arrival. Puns not intended.
Mira raised her voice back to the normal level. "So what brings you to Tialka, Nocte? Or are you just here by accident? It happens sometimes," she said, smiling.

Nocte tore her eyes away from Nat and turned back to Mira, a friendlier smile on her face. She shrugged her smooth, black shoulders to Mira's question.
"Just travelling," she said pleasantly, which was half the truth. Mira seemed friendly enough, but she didn't need to know about Nocte's past, no one knew about Nocte's past and she intended to keep it that way. "I use the elements to travel and stumbled across this planet after I had left the last one," Nocte continued, her eyes remaining bright blue and not (thankfully) turning their yellow colour, as they did sometimes when she was being deceptive. After all, she wasn't really deceiving anyone if she told the truth, but not the whole truth.

Kiba smiled softly. "Well... If you are staying... You are welcome to stay with me and my sister, we have a guest room or two for visitors, though if you prefer, we could always make you a temporary home, or stay with a few of the others here." He looked over to Nat, tail brushing gently against her leg.

Nat blushed as Kiba's tail touched her, and she was thankful for her red face-fur.
"I highly doubt you'd want to live with me," she said to Nocte. "I live in a bush in the desert. Not much room," she joked, smiling slightly.

Nocte laughed pleasantly at Nat's comment, but was incredibly grateful that she had been given such an offer, people were asking if she would like to stay on this planet, they weren't chasing her away.
But at the same time, she felt that moving into someone's home she would become an intruder, and she didn't want that. Perhaps she was better on her own, and she always was.
Again, Nocte smiled.
"Thank you for your generous offer, but I wouldn't want to invade your privacy, I'm quite happy sleeping under the stars, I can sleep anywhere," she told them.

It was Kiba's turn to laugh. "Oh I wouldn't worry about us. At least my privacy is hard to invade... At least most of the time.". He said after he finished laughing, his voice settling into a hard and serious even tone at the last bit, glancing to Mira and then down. After a few more moments he looked up and smiled again. "I'm sure you will be fine at my place. At least until you get your own home. Perhaps first you would like a tour of Tialka with us?"

The sudden seriousness for a few moments in Kiba's voice made Nocte suspicious and curious. Why did he suddenly become so serious? And why did he glance at Mira? Her curious personality longed to find out, but instead Nocte focused on what Kiba had said afterwards.
"Well if you insist and if you don't mind, I'd be very grateful if I could stay with you for a couple of days, just until I find a suitable place for me." Nocte told Kiba pleasantly.
She couldn't help but feel a pang in her heart at the words "your own home." She never had one, she never will.
Nocte pushed this next thought to the back of her mind, and spoke in her excitable tone, her eyes becoming an orange colour as she grew more excited and curious. "I would love a tour of Tialka!" she exclaimed.

Mira caught Kiba's serious glance, and sent her own one back telling him not to say a thing. She saw that Nocte had noticed Kiba's seriousness, and worked to keep her own face neutral. She didn't know how long Nocte would be here, and if it wasn't long, she didn't need to know.
Mira smiled at the mention of a tour. "Good idea, Kiba," she said. "Would you like to take her around, or shall I come along?"

Kiba smiled again and nodded. "Of course I would like for you to come, and Nat too if she wants." He looked around at the three and asked, "Where shall we start then?" thinking of his favorite place, the west grassy plains.

"Sure, I'll come," said Nat pleasantly. She was still wary of Nocte, and had been worried about the way the panther had been looking at Kiba.
Nat knew that Kiba wouldn't do anything about Nocte, but she still worried.
"Why don't we start here, considering we're already here?"

Nocte tried not to laugh at all of this. Not because she was mocking them, but because she was so happy. It appeared she had crashed landed into a gold mine, everyone here was friendly and helpful, even the slightly cautious Nat. Her eyes still glittered orange slightly and her ears pricked up, she hadn't felt so happy and welcomed in a very long time. But she said nothing, she just smiled broadly and waited for the guided tour to begin.

Mira gave Nocte a friendly smile, knowing that the panther wanted to laugh. "Well, I suppose I should start the tour," said the snow leopard. "Welcome to the Healing Springs, with waters and plants that heal. I found this by accident, and nobody knows how the water becomes medicinal, but whatever it is - I'm glad it's here."
She remembered back to when Hiruko had returned from his quest for the Kumorishi - the plants he had used to concoct his healing paste had been picked from this very clearing.

Kiba smiled and added, "I think it could be the plants that grow here, or it could be because of the healing water thst the plants are here. Kind of a fun mystery I think. But yes, this is one of the uhm... 'Special' places in Tialka, though it is rare to find places that are ordinary in every way here... Kind of makes Tialka different and unique you could say."

Nocte nodded in agreement, looking around at the beautiful scenery. She had certainly never heard of healing waters and plants from any of the planets she had been to. She found herself feeling grateful for crash landing in this particular area. A place like this could always come in useful.

"This is the first time I've been here," mused Nat, looking around her at the beautiful scenery.
"I'm going to have to remember where it is." She only vaguely remembered the way up, and told herself to retrace her footsteps later on.

"Not much to say about this area, to be honest," said Mira. "It's so well hidden, that not many people come here, so not a lot happens." She smiled. "Shall we move on?" She turned to Kiba, who was in charge of the tour.
