Shiro had no notice of the prowling Hiruko as she moved about, and while Hiruko waited, she went in a rather wide circle around the deer so she was on the other side, still having little notice of anything else. It wouldn't be too long before the deer would see or hear her, and run in the other direction, straight towards, or near, Hiruko's hiding spot. Kiba was farhter down, managing to get in his sight, a good-sized boar, or rather, good-sized for this island, large for just about anywhere else.

Hiruko saw Shiro get into position. His shoulders wavered...his rear end quivered...this was going to be a good hunt. He could feel it in his chest as his heart raced with excitement. A side effect of his temporary transformation meant that he was a little bit more wild than he would be normally and the idea of taking this hunt thrilled his senses.
Hiruko leapt with his front paws latching onto the deer's back. It barely had enough time to move out of the way. Hiruko had it down but it was struggling strongly against his grip. Hiruko turned towards Shiro's shadow behind the shrubs where he nodded his head as a signal for her.

Shiro meeped, nearly jumping out of her skin at the sudden appearance. She nods and moves forward to the fallen deer, not wanting it to suffer, she grabbed it's head and with a twist and a sharp crack and a snap, the deer stilled. Shiro looked down at the deer a tad sadly, closing it's eyes and whispering a soft prayer for the fallen deer.

It was all over in a flash. The deer now lay limp between his paws. Instinct ran through Hiruko's veins and he growled fiercely at Shiro to show her who was boss and that it was his kill. He then shook his head. Snap out of it! He thought to himself. It was difficult to control his instincts when he was in this form. The soft prayer that Shiro had sang to the deer soothed him a little but the beast within him roared as he wanted to drag the deer off for himself. Instead, he realised that it was a team effort and that the hunt should be shared.

Shiro smiled a bit in aknowledgment. "Go on and take it, I'll see if I can find something for myself alright?" She looked over Hiruko and the deer and turned to leave, drawing her bow and re-nocking the arrow.
Kiba meanwhile had some luck, dragging the boar back to the beach, the animal already feild dressed and ready to be cut up and cooked. So he spent the next while preparing the fire.

"No, I didn't mean it like that! I'm sorry Shiro..." Hiruko said, ashamed at himself. But it was too late, Shiro was gone.
I'm getting out of this form as soon as I've dragged this carcus back to our meeting spot! he growled to himself. He began wrapping his jaw around the thick neck of the doe and proceeded to drag it back. It wasn't too difficult since his strength and weighty muscles did most of the work.
Suddenly, he heard a twig snap. Shiro? No, she wouldn't be sneaking up on him. Whoever was making the noise obviously didn't want to be heard. Hiruko stared into the shrubs and caught a pair of viscious red eyes reflecting withint the shadows. He growled at the creature, baring his teeth at the threat. A large big cat the colour of sand and stone leapt out at him and caught him across his face with its extended claws. Hiruko backed off for a few seconds as he prepared himself and launched at the cat. It was a bitter fight of tooth and claw. Both were reared up on their hind legs with paws batting each other fiercely. Hiruko had strength and size on his side as he was significantly larger than the opposing big cat. However, this big cat had speed and Hiruko found it difficult to take a good, clean swipe at the enemy.
Hiruko took another swipe to the head, grazing him across the forehead and his left ear. Roaring fiercely, Hiruko took a swipe but missed and the big cat bit into his side. Hiruko's feral roar of pain was threatening and monstrous. He rolled over, exposing a very vulnerable belly which could be attacked at any moment. Hiruko built up his strength and kicked off the big cat, catching a claw near its face. The big cat wimpered backwards covering its face with one paw. Hiruko had caught it near its eye and it was now shielding its face. Hiruko rolled over and stood up strongly once more, puffing himself up to look larger. With a fierce roar, he showed as much tooth as he could which sent the big cat running cowardly into the jungle. Hiruko snorted in victory and began to lick the bite wounds on his side.

It didn't take long for either of them to hear the roars. Kiba stopped building the fire and threw the sling onto his back, teleporting close enough to the roar. He drew a large bowie knife and advanced through the trees, quickly making out Hiruko. "Are you alright? Was there a fight?" He asked, looking the tiger over, assessing his wounds quickly.
Shiro however is somewhat lost, working her way slowly through the forest. She wouldn't arrive for a few minutes.

Hiruko shifted into his normal form once again. The shifting of bones and flesh was painfully, especially with a wound but it had to be done. Once more, he was himself again, able to stand on his hind legs and walk like a Torakan. The wounds remained on his side however and there was a steady stream of blood flowing from the two holes. Kiba appeared before him. "It's okay, it was just one of the wild animals," he said, raising his paw up to signal that everything was alright. "It was obviously trying to take this kill as well." Hiruko pointed at the limp deer close by. Hiruko tried to stand but it was increasingly painful. He finally stood up on his hind legs but he was slightly weak.

Kiba nods, taking the sling off his back and sheathed the knife. "Would you like me to take care of those wounds? I wouldn't want you hurting yourself more..." His assessment by sight and at the distance was that the wounds weren't too bad, but would need to be treated and dressed to stop the blood loss.

"Thank you," Hiruko replied. "That would be very helpful." He sat back down as there was no way he could leave the carcus unattended without scavengers dragging it off and he couldn't drag it himself. He wondered where Shiro had got to and if he had hurt he feelings. He lowered his head, humiliated by his own actions. It's all so much easier to think when I'm in this form he thought to himself.

Kiba moved forward, unzipping his bag and removing his first aid kit. He started with a bit of alchohol, which would hurt, but would throughly clean the wound. He then added some pressure bandages, wrapping it around him. Afterward, a bit of gauze and a healthy length of bandage later, he was patched up. "Alright take it easy. I can drag the deer back if you want."
Right about then Shiro appears, looking slightly ruffled. "Oh, there you two are."

As Kiba applied the alcohol, Hiruko flinched, clenching his teeth together but the pain soon eased. After he was wrapped up nicely, he felt a lot better. It was still painful but the bandage supported his waist and at least stopped him from bleeding too much. Hiruko nodded slowly at Kiba as a gesture of 'thanks' and stood up properly. "We'll make it a team effort bring this back," he said pointing at the deer. "I'd like to be of some use.
Shiro appeared from the jungle foliage just after. "Hi Shiro," he said blushing slightly.

He smiles a bit. "You killed it, brought it this far, and defended it, you did do a lot. Just take it easy for now." He then turns to his sister. "And where have you been?"
Shiro blushes a bit, admitting, "I got lost. But glad to have found you guys. Shall we call it a night?" She asks, noting the bandages on Hiruko but not saying much, Kiba's comment having explained all she needed to hear. As it was the jungle was getting darker, the treetops blocking their veiw of the red and orange sky.

Hiruko couldn't argue with that but he still felt bad. They all walked back to their spot on the beach where the carcusses were laid on the ground on a blanket to stop the sand getting all over them. Hiruko set up some wood and grass for burning, ready for the meat to be cooked.

Kiba helps with the fire, already having some of it set up, the sun setting fairly quick on the horizon, the orange waves dieing down to a dull blue/black. Kiba helped even getting the fire itself started and got a spit together to cook the food.
Shiro on the other paw, laid back and watched, not entirely sure how to help with the fire or cooking.

Hiruko managed to detatch one of the legs from the deer so that they could cook this part first. The deer was too large to cook over such a small fire. With the dimming of the sun, the fire became more vibrant and it crackled softly in the darkness.
"I should have been aware that there were other wild animals able to attack at any point," Hiruko said, looking at his bandage. "Okela Island isn't exactly the safest area of Tialka."

Kiba nods in agreement. "Yeah, but still, You did very well defending it Hiruko. Don't be so down on yourself." Kiba smiles and puts the hunk of deer up on the spit to cook, the fire crackling gently as Shiro added a bit more wood cautiously. She then spoke up saying, "Yeah, it was quite the catch wasn't it?" She smiled to Hiruko before going back to tending the fire.

"Thanks," he said, welcoming the compliment. "We were lucky to catch something so big! It looks like you managed to catch something yourself." He nodded towards the wild boar Kiba had already brought over.
