Mira was in Seirei and Tersias' Den, helping her vixen friend decorate what was to be the cubs' room. "So, Tersias," she said, standing in the doorway. "What do you want, and where?"

She looked around the room. There was total confusion on her face. She didn't have a clue about kits. She had no idea what they would need, what they couldn't have, what to feed them, nothing! She shook her head "Mira, I just, I don't even know where to begin!" she said, exasparated, "I don't have a clue what I'm doing! I can't be a mother, I don't even know what cubs need!"

"Just think, what do cubs need?" Mira let Tersias think about it for a moment. "They'll need somewhere to sleep, things to play with, and some form of a toilet." She smiled at her friend. "Does that help any?"

"But I don't know how exactly many there are gonna be Mira - I mean, I can make a rough guess, but how can I set up somewhere for them to sleep if I don't know how many it needs to have room for?" she sighed.
Laying down with her head on her front paws, she looked a little dismayed. "Maybe Seema's right, maybe I am too young for all this. And when I'm over a quarter into pregnancy is not exactly the best time to realised that"

Mira lay down next to Tersias, nuzzling the canine. "Now, now, Tersias. I do believe you're being quite stupid. You wanted a family, and when you want one, you're not too young. You just need help is all." She stood up. "Come on, then. Make as rough a guess as possible, and if it's wrong, we can always adjust things later. Okay?"

Sighing, she stood up reluctantly. "Ok" she said quietly. "Well, normally its about 7 among my people, but my family have always been a little below average... I would guess at somewhere between 4 and 6"

"Well, if it's between four and six, we'll guess at five, shall we?" she said, smiling. Mira was proud of Tersias, and knew that the vixen would be a good mother, despite her thinking otherwise. She looked around the room. "How about their bed goes over there?" suggested Mira, pointing at the far end.

"Hmm..." she looked thoughtful. "If the bed goes there then the skylight would be best over here" she said, walking over to a spot in the middle of the room, a distance away from the bed. Building a step, and knocking on the ceiling in a few spots, she smiled "That shouldn't be a problem at all."

Mira nodded. "Good idea," she said. "I probably wouldn't have thought of that." She looked around. "I think that their toilet should be near the door, that way, you won't disturb them if you need to clean it while they sleep. What do you think?"

She smiled, and nodded, "Perhaps if we could tuck it away in an alcove, though, because otherwise you'll see it when you walk in? Which would be embarassing for the poor kits if they have to use it." Taking a deep breath and screwing up her eyes, Tersias used her pendant to scrape away a circle in the clay sealing. She then used the tiniest amount of fire she could to melt the dirt and sand she had scraped away into glass, and used wind to cool it. She then came down and got rid of the step, sitting down for a moment, sweating a little, tired. There could be no doubting, though, that the journey for her crystal had helped her control and strength endlessly, giving her more stamina and greater skill.

"Good work," said Mira, looking at the window Tersias had just made. She turned to the wall nearest the door, and wondered how she would make an alcove from it. Carefully, she created an ice chisel from the water in the air, and set it to chisel away at the rock, making an alcove in only a few minutes. When it was finished, the chisel returned to its former state as water droplets in the air.

Tersias smiled "That's perfect Mira" she smiled. "Now all it needs..." she went through into the main room. Opening a cupboard, she fetched a large section of primrose yellow fabric and came back through. Using her claws, she cut it to size, then used fire to seal the edges against fraying. Finally, she made a large clay pole, and attached the curtain to it, using it to hide the alcove from view. "Just for privacy" she smiled.

"So will that be the colour theme?" she teased, looking at the yellow fabric Tersias had used. Mira realised that Tersias wasn't as edgy about using fire anymore, and she was certain that becoming an adult was partially to blame. "Now, we just need toys for them to play with, and the actual bed."

Her face fell a little. "I don't have a clue about that bit" she said softly, "I'm gonna admit that much." She sighed, and lay down, her legs aching from the extra weight.

"Well, we can sort out the toys for the cubs when they are actually born, but I think a bed would be a nice touch right now," said Mira, wondering how they could make one. "Also, it might be a good idea for you to stay in the bed for a while every now and then, just so they have your scent when they go to bed at night."

Kiba walked down the short hallway, the marble-like engravings and pictures standing out. He continued down and admired his work of the skylights and the pictures. He walked over to the great work of the door and frame, Hiruko on one side, Mira on the other and Seirei in the middle with his outstreched wings creating the doorframe and molding. He sighed and said, "Why can't we go back to how it was when I made this? All peace and all calm..."
Kiba knocked on the door, sliding it open slightly. He looked around the circular room, the skylight giving the room a warm glow. "Hello? Anyone home?" He called out to the empty room. Maybe they are in the back, he thought. He couldn't pick out the fresher scents among the older ones as Tersias lived here and people visited often.

"I just have no idea, Mira" she said softly, "Perhaps Seirei will know what to do? I can't remember how we made our bed, to be honest" Hearing the knock, she turned, and upon hearing Kiba's voice she smiled. "We're through here, Mister Kiba" she said with a little laugh, "Come on in"

"Or perhaps Kiba could help us," suggested Mira, laughing. "Hello, Kiba," she said, turning to greet the black wolf. "How are you today?"
