Mira wandered down the underground passage that led to the front door of Seirei and Tersias' home, once again admiring the carvings around said door. Smiling to herself, Mira lifted up a paw and knocked on the wood, making sure it would be loud enough for her friend to hear, but not very loud so that she wouldn't disturb the pups if they were sleeping. Stretching, Mira waited patiently for Tersias to answer the door.

With a large yawn, the exhausted and overworked Tersias came to the door. While Seirei's wounds from his attack a few months ago had mostly healed, he was still weak, and so life was bearing hard on Tersias. She swung the door open with a forced smile, then saw Mira. She sighed with relief "Mira, come on in honey" she led the way inside.

"Heya, Ters," said Mira, following the vixen into the room and closing the door behind her. "You doing okay?" she asked, seeing how tired Tersias was. Even though Mira didn't say it much, she knew that Tersias could ask her for anything she needed help with.

"Ya know, I cope" she said in an unconvincing tone, "Things will be a lot easier when Seirei recovers his strength. The cubs still aren't sleeping through the night, when they manage that will help too" she smiled weakly and sat down "They're sleeping through the day fine though, they're in the other room"

"You know you can ask me to help, right," said Mira, taking a seat opposite Tersias. "Even if it's just cubsitting for when you want a good night's rest." She smiled. "You don't have to, but if you want to, the offer is there."

"You know I appreciate all you do for us Mira" she smiled "But I couldn't ask you to do more than you already do, I would feel awful." she took a pot of tea off the fire, "Would you like a cup? The cubs will be up again soon, and I don't like tea being around when they're up, in case they get burnt."

"Don't feel bad," said Mira, watching Tersias go to the pot. "I'm offering, it's not like you're forcing me to. And yes, I would like a cup, thank you." She smiled as she glanced towards the cubs' bedroom door, which was currently shut to. "How are they all?" she asked, wishing that she had seen more of the cubs when they were awake - still, she would be able to see them soon. Mira smiled to herself as she thought of this.

"Exhausting" she chuckled to herself, pouring Mira a cup of tea. "Arty's still barely growing, which is a little worrying, but the other's are all doing great, Mira" she smiled. "He's almost no bigger than when he was born. Seirei is worried he might not make it if he doesn't start growing soon, but I told him he's being silly." There was a little uncertainty on her face, but she spoke with conviction.

"You should try not to worry," said Mira. "Both you and Seirei. After the snowstorm that's coming up soon, it's going to be a mild winter. Arty should be fine." She felt concern for the youngest pup, which showed in her eyes; but Mira spoke with confidence, for she spoke the truth. The snowstorm should last about a day at the most, blanketing all except Polant Desert and Okela Island in snow, after which it would be cold, but not terribly so.

Tersias sighed "It's not the weather worrying us - he has no appetite, even though he's not growing. But I suppose that should come with time." Just then, a yipping was heard from the next room. She smiled ruefully, and pushed the door open with her paw, and out ran a bundle of ears and tails as Sai and Kai rolled through the doorway in a wrestiling ball of fluff.

"I'm sure he'll be fine," said Mira, sipping at her tea. She smiled when she heard the yipping from the next room, and laughed when Sai and Kai came in. "Do they always do this?" she asked, putting down her tea.

She sighed in an exhausted way "Yes, and it loses its novelty after a couple weeks. But I spose I should get the others up, otherwise they'll all be waking me at different times in the night. Just excuse me a minute" she left the room, and re-entered with Aislin, Arty and Ebony all in a basket she held in her mouth.

Mira watched as Tersias left then came back in, smiling when she saw the sleepy cubs. She got up and separated Sai and Kai, who were still wrestling on the ground. "Come, now, cubs - you'll trip your mother up," she said as they looked up at her, a little disappointed that they had been stopped.

"Wouldn't be the first time I tripped over those two" she chuckled, putting down the basket and nuzzling the remaining cubs with her nose to wake them.

"I'm not surprised," said Mira, watching at the two of them scampered over to the basket, tripping over each other as they went. "They are quite a handful, aren't they?" asked Mira rhetorically, a smile on her face.

A Handful? They're more like a houseful sometimes she thought to herself, but aloud she merely laughed, and said "Definitely" in a tired manner.

"Do you need some rest, Ters?" asked Mira, sensing the tiredness in the vixen's voice. "I can always look after the cubs if you do." She smiled reassuringly at Tersias.

She laughed a little, "No it's fine. What I really need is Seirei to be back to his normal self, then everything will be a lot smoother" she smiled.
